Mrs. Anna M. King, 86

BRISTOL, R.I. - Mrs. Anna M. (Furtado) King, 86, of 18 Fatima Drive, Bristol, R.I., died Wednesday, Sept. 17, 2008 at Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro. She was the wife of the late Raymond J. King.

Born in Bristol, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (Medeiros) Furtado. A resident of Bristol for most of her life, she lived in Newark, N.J. for a couple of years in her teens, and has lived in Attleboro with her daughter for the past year.

A homemaker, she was a communicant of St. Elizabeth's Church in Bristol. She loved to travel on senior citizens trips, playing cards with her nieces and friends, reading and many visits to LaSalette Shrine. Her greatest pleasure come from the time spent with her family and friends; she loved life and she was happiest when she was taking care of others.

She is survived by a son, James King and his companion Vanessa Lauder of Bristol; a daughter, Ann Marie Dias and her husband Richard M. of Attleboro; three grandchildren, Jason J. King of South Beach, Miami Beach, Fla., Michael B. King and his wife Kristen of Bristol and Lindsey M. Dias of Attleboro; and a great-grandson, Kaleb King of Bristol.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Mary Carreiro, Emily Rodrigues and Crissa Perry.

Funeral services from the Sansone Funeral Home, 192 Wood St., Bristol, will be held on Monday, Sept. 22, 2008 at 9 a.m. with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Elizabeth's Church, 577 Wood St., Bristol. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Chestnut Street, Bristol.

Visiting hours will be held on Sunday, Sept. 21, 2008 from 2 to 5 p.m.

Albert V. Aguiar, 52

ATTLEBORO - Albert V. Aguiar, 52, of Dennis Street, Attleboro, died Wednesday, Sept. 17, 2008 in Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro. He was the beloved husband of Ana (Amaral) Aguiar, with whom he celebrated 31 years of marriage.

Born in St. Michael, Azores on Jan. 20, 1956, he was a son of the late Victorinho and Conceicao (Raposo) Aguiar.

Albert was a resident of Attleboro for 31 years and was currently employed by Environmental Systems in Attleboro. In addition to his beloved wife Ana, Albert is survived by a son, Timothy Aguiar of Attleboro and a daughter, Melanie Aguiar of Attleboro. He is also survived by his siblings, Luis Aguiar of Pawtucket, Adriana Resendes of Cumberland, R.I., Maria Aldina de Medeiros of Seekonk, and Jose Maria Aguiar of East Providence, R.I.

Family and friends are kindly invited to attend visiting hours on Sunday, Sept. 21, 2008 from 5 to 8 p.m. in the Duffy-Poule Funeral Home, 20 Peck St., Attleboro.

A funeral will be conducted on Monday, Sept. 22, 2008 at 9 a.m. from the Duffy-Poule Funeral Home, 20 Peck St., Attleboro followed by a funeral Mass at 10 a.m. in St. John the Evangelist Church, 133 North Main St., Attleboro celebrated by the Rev. Michael Carvell. Mr. Aguiar will be laid to rest in St. John's Cemetery, West Street, Attleboro.

Anna Daggett, 54

FOXBORO - Anna (Misky) Daggett, 54, died on Wednesday, Sept. 17, 2008 at Rhode Island Hospital in Providence surrounded by the comfort of her loving family. Anna was the daughter of the late Toth Erzsebet and James and Ilona Misky.

Anna was born in Fehergyarmat, Hungary on Nov. 20, 1952. She moved to the United States in 1957 and was raised in Oneco, Conn. She graduated from Plainfield High School in 1970 and graduated from the Maine School of Commerce in 1972.

Anna married her husband Walton on Sept. 30, 1972 in Moosup, Conn. They moved to Foxboro in 1974.

She worked for Becton-Dickenson in Walpole for several years. She then worked as a secretary for the Kennedy Donovan Center and the Foxboro public schools.

Anna was a devoted and loving mother, grandmother and sister. She enjoyed crafts especially sewing and knitting and was an avid reader. She also loved shopping and taking day trips with her friends.

She was the wife of the late Walton Daggett; the beloved mother of Richard Daggett and his companion Debra Winslow of North Attleboro and Juliann and her husband Greg Dickerman of Foxboro; the devoted grandmother of Amanda and Sam Dickerman; and the loving sister of Steven Misky of Oneco and Marika Jones of Lake Luzerne, N.Y.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend calling hours on Monday, Sept. 22 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Roberts & Sons Funeral Home, 30 South St., Foxboro.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Bethany Congregational Church, 3 Rockhill St., Foxboro. Interment will follow at Rock Hill Cemetery in Foxboro.

Pauline D. Howard, 84

ATTLEBORO - Pauline D. (Adams) Howard, 84, of Attleboro, formerly of the Highlands section of Lowell, died Thursday Sept. 18, 2008 at a local nursing home. She was the wife of the late Charles R. Howard.

Born in Lowell on June 16, 1924, she was a daughter of the late Tyler H. and Alvina A. (Normand) Adams.

Pauline was employed as a quality control supervisor by Raytheon.

She served in the Navy during World War II.

She was a former parishioner of St. Margaret's Church and a member of the Ladies Sodality of that parish. She was also a former member of Sacred Heart Band Boosters.

Survivors include two daughters, Charlene Levine and her husband Howard of Attleboro and Susan Burns and her husband William of Lowell; four grandchildren, Dara and Jenna Levine of Attleboro and Kerri and Jamie Burns of Lowell; a brother and sister-in-law, Paul Adams and his wife Sally of Manchester, N.H.; and two sisters and a brother-in-law, Ruth M. Gallagher of Sandown, N.H., and Jacqueline T. LaFrance and her husband Richard of Bow, N.H.

She was the sister of the late Gerald T. Adams, Russell Adams and Bernadette Adams.

Relatives and friends may call at the McKenna-Ouellette Funeral Home, 327 Hildreth St., Lowell, on Sunday from 2 to 5 p.m. Funeral services and burial will be private.

Michael Joseph Bastille, 56

ATTLEBORO — Michael Joseph Bastille, 56, of Park Street, Attleboro, died unexpectedly on Wednesday, September 17, 2008 at Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro. He was the husband of Kathryn A. (Young) Bastille to whom he was married on February 4, 1976.

Born in Attleboro, Massachusetts on March 27, 1952, he was a son of the late Wilfred and Eva (Bastille) Bastille. Raised and educated in Attleboro, Mr. Bastille was a 1970 graduate of Bishop Feehan High School. He later attended the Fisher College in recent years.

Mr. Bastille was a lifelong resident of the City of Attleboro with the exception of a few years he resided in North Attleboro.

He was a communicant of St. Mark’s Roman Catholic Church, Village of Attleboro Falls.

Mr. Bastille was employed as a chemical manager in the plating industry until the onset of his illness.

His favorite pastimes included fresh and saltwater fishing. A true outdoorsman, he cherished the time spent in the company of family. In earlier years, he was active in his children’s activities and served as a Scout Leader with the Annawon Council of the Boy Scouts of America and was a coach for the local Little League program.

In addition to his wife of 32 years, he leaves three children: Peter R. Bastille of Uxbridge; Joshua D. Bastille of South Lake Tahoe, California and Katy L. Gabel of Attleboro; a brother: Robert Bastille of Hyannis; four sisters: Dianne Garzia of Cropseyville, New York; Jeanne Bastille of Attleboro; Annette Birch of Attleboro and Anita Fernandes of Attleboro and several nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are cordially invited to attend visitation on Sunday, September 21, 2008 from 2 to 5 p.m. in the “Memorial Chapel” of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home - the national historic Colonel Obed Robinson House, 161 Commonwealth Avenue (exit 5 off I-95 N or S, go right at end of ramp, ¾ mile on left), Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro.

Kenneth Boyle, Pastor of Candleberry Chapel, Attleboro, officiating.

Burial will be private.
