Top Headlines Robert E. Larkin, 77 HOLLISTON - Robert E. Larkin, 77, of 33 Marked Tree Road, Holliston, died on Friday, Sept. 19, 2008, in the MetroWest Medical Center in Framingham. He had been the devoted husband of over 20 years to the late Jean (McAndrew), and was the dear companion for the past 12 years of Eileen Fahey, with whom he made his home. Born in Milford on June 2, 1931, he was a son of the late George and Esther (Ward) Larkin. A graduate of the St. Mary School in Milford, he had continued his education graduating from St. Michael's College in Vermont, and the Suffolk University Law School in Boston. A practitioner of general practice law, Mr. Larkin had maintained offices in Norfolk and Medfield. A former resident of both communities, he had enjoyed being active in local government and took a keen interest in local affairs. By nature a very social man, he enjoyed weaving the fabric of his life with others, and particularly liked the good-natured exchanges shared with both longtime and newfound friends at the Lafayette House in Foxboro. He was described by his family as a great guy and a good friend, and was an excellent man. He loved being with his four daughters, and had enjoyed watching Sunday football and traveling to England and Ireland with them. He had also been fond of all the time spent at his home in Harborhouse North Fort Lauderdale, Fla. Mr. Larkin had at one time been an active member of the Norfolk Lions Club, and also of the Massachusetts Bar Association. He leaves his loving daughters: Susan and her husband Vincent Megna of Wrentham, Elizabeth "Betsy" Larkin of Walpole, Roberta Ferro of Bellingham, and Nancy and her husband Philip Saunders of Attleboro. He was the dearest of brothers to his sister Rosemary Tredeau of Northbridge, whom he particularly loved to share time with, and was the devoted grandfather of Jennifer Megna and her fiance Kevin Cavelieri, Jillian Megna, Alexander and Ashlea Saunders, and Tyler Ferro. Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the RJ Ross Funeral Home, 135 South Street, Route 1A, Wrentham Centre, on Monday from 4 to 8 p.m. His funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday at 9 a.m. in St. Mary's Church, 140 South Street, Route 1A, Wrentham Centre. Burial will be private at the Vine Lake Cemetery in Medfield. Arrangements are in the care of Richard Ross and the RJ Ross Funeral Home, Wrentham Centre.
