Top Headlines David A. Shepard, 62, of North Attleboro. - David A. Shepard, 62, of Leonard Street, North Attleboro, passed away on Tuesday, Sept. 23, 2008 at home. He was the husband of Margaret (Rabbitt) Shepard. David A Shepard, 62 NORTH ATTLEBORO Born in Attleboro on Feb. 5, 1946, he was the son of the late Homer J. Shepard Sr. and the late Norma Blanchard. David was a lifelong resident of North Attleboro. He was proprietor of David A. Shepard and Sons Plumbing and Heating Contractors. He also was a member of the Independent Sportsman's Club of Foxboro, where he served as president and member of the board of directors for many years. David was an avid skeet shooter, and also enjoyed gardening, working in his yard, and visiting Cape Cod with his family. He also loved his dog "Molly." In addition to his wife Margaret, David is survived by a son, Michael and his wife Emily Shepard of Attleboro; two daughters, Sandra and her husband James Ademuyiwa of Providence, and Cheryl and her husband Michael Groh of North Attleboro; two brothers, Homer J. Shepard Jr. of North Attleboro, and Richard R. Shepard of Attleboro; two sisters, Cynthia Prescott of North Attleboro, and Norma Jean Shepard of Attleboro; five grandchildren; and 13 nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a funeral service on Saturday, Sept. 27 at 10 a.m. in the Diamond Funeral Home, 180 North Washington St., North Attleboro. Visiting hours will be held in the funeral home on Friday, 4 to 8 p.m. Burial will be private. Lee Killingsworth, 19 NORTH ATTLEBORO - Lee J. Killingsworth, 19, of Cliff Drive, North Attleboro, passed away at home on Monday, Sept. 22, 2008. He was the son of William and Amy (Jillson) Killingsworth. Lee was born in Attleboro on Sept. 12, 1989. He was a 2008 graduate of North Attleboro High School, and was currently attending Bristol Community College. He enjoyed karate, the martial arts, and mountain biking. Lee also enjoyed working on his car, and celebrating Halloween each year by making decorative displays. He loved his family very much and looked forward to their trips to Pennsylvania and Aruba. He also had a lifelong love of animals. In addition to his parents, he is survived by a sister, Danielle Smith of North Attleboro; and his grandparents: Leon and Barbara Jillson of North Attleboro, and William and Claudia Killingsworth of Attleboro. Also survived by a brother-in-law, Eric Smith, and a niece, Rylee Smith. A funeral will be held on Friday, Sept. 26 at 9 a.m. from the Diamond Funeral Home, 180 North Washington St., North Attleboro, followed by a funeral Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Mary's Church, 14 Park St., North Attleboro. Visiting hours will be held in the funeral home on Thursday evening, 4 to 8 p.m. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Attleboro Falls. Henry Smith Jr., 63 FOXBORO - Henry John Smith Jr., 63, died on Monday, Sept. 22, 2008 at his home surrounded by the comfort of his loving family. He was the son of the late Henry and Greta (Olson) Smith. Henry was born on March 17, 1945 in Muskogee, Okla. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War. He earned his bachelor's degree at Fordham University in New York in 1967 and later earned his master's degree at Pace University in New York in 1980. Henry and his wife Lorraine were married on May 23, 1970 at Notre Dame Church in Fall River. They raised their family in Mahopac, N.Y., and later moved to Fall River. They resided in Foxboro for the past 11 years. Henry was an independent IT consultant. He also was a banker for the FDIC in Westboro and Franklin. Henry was a communicant of St. Mary's Church in Foxboro and was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council 6063 in Foxboro. He enjoyed spending time with his family on Bakers Beach in Westport and was an avid reader. He was a music enthusiast and loved playing the guitar. He was the beloved husband of Lorraine L. (Yokell) Smith; loving father of Sean P. Smith and his wife Crystal of Kingston and Erin L. and her husband Michael Alves of Assonet; devoted grandfather of Kyle Santos, Kelsey Alves and Maia Smith; brother of Dr. Kenneth J. Smith and his wife Catherine of Connecticut and Theresa H. and her husband Louis Markowitz of New York. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend calling hours on Friday, Sept. 26 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Roberts and Sons Funeral Home, 30 South St., Foxboro. A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday at 9 a.m. at St. Mary's Church, Carpenter Street, Foxboro. Interment will follow with U.S. Navy honors at St. Mary's Cemetery in Foxboro.
