Obituaries were reported on Sunday, Sept. 28 for Antone "Tony" Porfido, 93, of Mansfield, and Ingrid Cuoco of North Attleboro.

Antone "Tony" Porfido, 93 - Antone "Tony" Porfido, a resident of Mansfield since 1940, died Friday, Sept. 26, 2008, at Caritas Norwood Hospital. He was 93. Mr. Porfido was the loving husband of the late Iola (Baldini) Porfido.

MANSFIELD

Born in Taunton on Dec. 21, 1914, Mr. Porfido was the son of the late Tomaso and Merope (Branchini) Porfido. He was married to his wife Iola in 1940 and they settled in Mansfield.

Mr. Porfido was a graduate of Taunton High School and was an auto mechanic by trade. He went on to be founder and co-owner of Old Colony Motors of Mansfield in 1946 and retired in 1976. Mr. Porfido was a member of the Mansfield Lions Club since 1946. He was one of the original members and was recently bestowed "Life Member" honors.

Mr. Porfido truly enjoyed his retirement, spending winters in Florida, actively playing golf until he was 92, taking trips to Foxwoods, playing poker with friends and attending social events at his retirement home at the Village at Willow Crossings in Mansfield.

Mr. Porfido is survived by his two children, Thomas R. Porfido and his wife Marjorie of Thornton, N.H., and Arlene M. Macaione of Mansfield; three grandchildren, Susan Macaione, Kara Foster and Leah Caracino; and two great-grandchildren, Karly and Kenzie Foster.

Mr. Porfido was also the father-in-law of the late Domenic Macaione.

His funeral will be from the Bolea-Amici Funeral Home, 115 North Main St., Mansfield, on Wednesday, Oct. 1 at 8 a.m. followed by a funeral Mass in St. Mary's Church, 330 Pratt St. (Route 106), Mansfield at 9 a.m. Relatives and friends are kindly invited.

Visiting hours are Tuesday from 4 to 8 p.m. Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Mansfield.

Donations in Tony's memory may be made to the Italian Home for Children, 1125 Centre St., Jamaica Plain, MA 02130.

Ingrid C. (Kreuschner) Cuoco - Ingrid C. (Kreuschner) Cuoco of North Attleboro died Thursday, Sept. 25, 2008, at Mount St. Rita Healthcare Center, Cumberland, R.I., after a brief illness. She was the loving and devoted wife of Thomas R. Cuoco for the past 46 years.

NORTH ATTLEBORO

Born in Berlin, Germany, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Charlotte (Heiuel) Kreuschner. Ingrid received her degree in business administration from the Free University of Berlin, and moved to Massachusetts in 1959.

In 1975, she began work as a secretary in the guidance department of Attleboro High School, from which she retired in 1993.

She enjoyed traveling, cooking and gardening.

A gifted watercolor artist, she was a member of the Rhode Island Watercolor Society. She was a member of the Retired State, County and Municipal Employees Association of Massachusetts, an assistant Girl Scout troop leader, and was formerly active in the Massachusetts Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children.

Ingrid will be remembered by her family and close friends as a compassionate and loving woman who had a gift for making those around her feel comfortable and special.

She adored her grandchildren.

Besides her husband, she leaves two loving daughters, Nicolette R. Cuoco of Fairhaven and Simone C. Hasenfus along with her husband David of Plainville; and four grandchildren: Jacob H. and Josie S. Cuoco, both of Fairhaven, Joshua T. Hasenfus of Plainville, and Cpl. Nicholas M. Hasenfus, USMC of Plainville and currently stationed in Iraq.

Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend visitation Monday, Sept. 29 from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home, 161 Commonwealth Ave., Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro.

The funeral will be held Tuesday, Sept. 30 at 9 a.m. from the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home, Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m., at St. Martha's Church, 227 South St., Plainville. Burial will follow in Woodlawn-North Purchase Cemetery, Attleboro.

Instead of flowers, donations may be made in Ingrid's memory to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701.
