Obituaries were reported Sunday, Oct. 5 for: Johanna Beyersdorfer, 94, of North Attleboro, and Timothy W. Dykens, 46, of Santee, Calif.

Johanna Beyersdorfer, 94

NORTH ATTLEBORO
- Johanna E. Beyersdorfer, 94, of Grove Street passed away early Saturday morning, October 4, 2008 in Madonna Manor Nursing Home.

Born March 5, 1914, in Germany, she was a daughter of the late Gustav and Elsa (Fehr) Beyersdorfer.

Johanna lived most of her life in Plainville and had been a resident of North Attleboro for the past 23 years. She was head of shipping and the packing room at the L.S. Peterson Co. in North Attleboro for 50 years before retiring at age 75. During World War II, she volunteered at Sturdy Memorial Hospital and later volunteered at the Red Cross during blood drives. Johanna loved to read, knit and do puzzles. She also loved horses, going on trips and playing scratch tickets.

She was a member of the Plainville United Methodist Church and the Kalmia Club.

She is survived by her sister, Ruth Miller of North Attleboro. She was aunt of Carol Lin and her husband Moises, of Attleboro; John Miller and his wife Suzan, of Attleboro; Stephen Miller and his companion Robin Callahan, of Wareham; Susan Pelletier and her husband Paul, of Plainville; and Richard Miller and his wife Cindy, of Attleboro Falls.

She is also survived by many great-nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews. She was sister of the late Adolf Fehr.

A funeral service will be held in the Sperry & McHoul Funeral Home, 15 Grove Street, North Attleboro on Tuesday, October 7 at 11 a.m. Burial will take place privately in Plainville Cemetery at a later date. Relatives and friends are invited to visiting hours Monday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. in the funeral home.

Timothy W. Dykens, 46

SANTEE, Calif. - Timothy W. Dykens, 46, of Santee, Calif., formerly of Norton, died unexpectedly on Wednesday, Oct. 1, 2008 at home.

Born in Boston on Oct. 18, 1961, he was a dear son of William E. and Patricia A. (Benson) Dykens of Norton. He grew up in Norton, was educated in Norton public schools and was a graduate of Norton High School.

For over 25 years Mr. Dykens was a self-employed window cleaner and was the proud owner of Sunshine Windows in Santee, Calif.

Tim's hobbies included camping, hiking and raising exotic pets. He loved rock 'n' roll music and attending local concerts. His favorite times were those spent with family, trips taken back to his native New England where he enjoyed sitting down to a good old fashion New England meal. He had made his home in Santee for over 25 years.

In addition to his dear parents, he is survived by his devoted daughter Melaina P. Dykens and her mother Milicent of El Cajon, Calif. He was the loving brother of Bruce D. Dykens and his wife Elizabeth of Santee, Calif., Christine L. Lincks of Norton, Alan L. Dykens of Surprise, Ariz., Dennis M. Dykens of Norton and Kathleen M. Dykens of Norton. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Private funeral services will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 7 at the convenience of his family at the Norton Memorial Funeral Home, 19 Clapp St., Norton. Burial will follow in the Timothy Plain Cemetery, Norton.

Visiting hours are omitted and those wishing may remember Timothy with a donation made in his memory to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen Street, Framingham, MA 01701.
