Top Headlines Germaine Chase, 50 ATTLEBORO - Germaine "Mainey" (Reinert) Chase, 50, of Attleboro passed away Sunday, Oct. 12, 2008 surrounded by her family and friends. Born in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, she was the daughter of the late Herbert Reinert. Mainey was an accountant at Covidien in Mansfield and was previously employed by Rival in Bellingham. She was an avid motorcyclist for over 20 years, a member of the D & D Clubhouse and also enjoyed fishing. Her greatest fans were her two sons and her grandson. She leaves her two sons and their families, Jason and Cristy Reinert and their son, Zachary of South Attleboro, and Shawn and Trish Reinert of Florida. She also leaves many close friends. Visitation will be held Thursday, Oct. 16 from 5 to 8 p.m. at the William W. Tripp Funeral Home, 1008 Newport Ave., Pawtucket, with a service at 7:30 p.m. officiated by the Rev. C. M. Hardmon. Balliro-Cosson, 49 NORTH ATTLEBORO - Family and friends are invited to attend visiting hours on Wednesday, Oct. 15 from 4 to 8 p.m. in the Vertuccio Home for Funerals, 773 Broadway (Route 107), Revere, for Renee B. Balliro-Cosson, 49, who died unexpectedly at her North Attleboro home on Thursday, Oct. 9, 2008. Mrs. Balliro-Cosson's funeral service will be held following the visitation period at 8:15 p.m. in the funeral home. She was born in Boston, raised and educated in the Westwood public schools, and was a 1978 alumna of Westwood High School. She lived in Revere for several years until she moved to North Attleboro eight years ago.She is lovingly survived by her father, Rosario C. "Billy" Balliro and his wife Linda L. of Revere and her mother, Maryanne (Tardiff) St. Sauveur of Las Vegas, Nev. She is the mother of Jack Brophy and his fiancee Beth Duffy of Pawtucket and Steven MacLellan Jr. of North Attleboro. She is the devoted sister of Michael T. Balliro of North Attleboro, William J. Balliro of Revere, Tia M. Balliro of New Hampshire, George Patnode of Florida, Jeffrey Patnode of Revere and the late Michelle Balliro-Cummings and Lisa Patnode. She is also survived by her grandchildren, MacKensie and Madison Brophy, both of Rhode Island, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. She also leaves her fiance, Steven MacLellan Sr. of North Attleboro. Interment will be held privately at a later time, in Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett. Harold Parent Jr., 82 ATTLEBORO - Harold Parent Jr., 82, of Quintin Avenue, South Attleboro died on Sunday, Oct. 12, 2008 at the Golden Living Center. He was the husband of the late Marie L. (Landry) Parent, who died in August. Born in New Bedford, a son of the late Harold Parent Sr. and Jeannette (Houle) Parent, he had been a resident of Attleboro for the past 55 years. During World War II, he served with the U.S. Navy. Prior to retirement in 1980, he had served as a firefighter in Attleboro for many years. He was a communicant of St. Theresa Church in South Attleboro. He is survived by a son, Robert H. Parent of Fairfax, Va., and three granddaughters. He was the brother of the late Lorraine Courtemanche. His funeral will be held Wednesday, Oct. 15 at noon in the Darlington Mortuary of L. Heroux and Son, 1042 Newport Ave., Pawtucket. Calling hours in the funeral home will be from 10 a.m. to noon on Wednesday. Burial will follow in the Newell Burying Ground.
