WAREHAM - With junior Luke Small carding a 7-over-par round of 79 at the Bay Pointe Country Club Friday, the Seekonk High School golf team captured second place at the South Coast Conference Championship Tournament.

The Warriors moved ahead of both third-place Dighton-Rehoboth and Greater New Bedford for second place as a result of Lucas Preston and Zach Baron both coming in with rounds of 83.

Old Rochester captured the team title with 299 strokes, 36 better than the runner-up Warriors. Old Rochester had four of the six scores under 80 on the day, including the co-medalists - Brandon Oldham and Jake Winn. Kyle Harper and Ben LaChance had the low scores for Dighton-Rehoboth, both at 83.
