NORTH ATTLEBORO - The King Philip High Warriors had the better run of play through the first half of the Hockomock League match. The Rocketeers of North Attleboro High created the pace through the second 40 minutes of action - the result being a 1-1 tie in the girls' soccer match.

Nicole Palmer put the Warriors ahead in the first minute of play out of a scramble, converting a cross from Jen Turner.

But, North's Ashley Chretien deposited the equalizer in the 59th minute, finishing off a series of passes from Lauren Goldberg to Brini Varetimos.

KP created six shots and three corner kicks during the first half, while North outshot the Warriors 7-2 during the second half and had a 5-1 advantage in corner kicks.

Alex Ceven, the KP goalie, totaled nine saves and preserved the point for the Warriors, getting a fingertip on a drive by Chretien off the crossbar in the 72nd minute.
