McCain or Obama? AHS set to decide
Top Headlines Social studies teachers will escort their students to the computer lab, where students will use an online voting system to participate in the election sponsored by the Youth Leadership Initiative, a national civic education program based at the University of Virginia Center for Politics. With millions of students expected to vote nationwide during the two-week voting period Oct. 20-30, the leadership initiative election is the largest secure, student-only online mock election in the nation. National and statewide results will be available Friday on the group's Web site, www.youthleadership.net. Students from Attleboro High School's government classes will also be involved in exit polling at city voting sites on election day. And, the high school will provide students who are registered to vote an opportunity to ride to the real polls.
