VOLLEYBALL: Feehan spikes MHS




ATTLEBORO - Senior middle hitter Amy Lepley had a dozen kills as the Bishop Feehan girls' volleyball team swept past non-league Mansfield in three games Monday afternoon, 25-8, 25-5 and 25-17.

Lepley, a middle hitter, also had two blocks while sophomore middle hitter Kate Hill added four kills and two blocks while senior defensive specialist Jess Nolan had five digs and five aces. The Shamrocks (15-1) entertain Somerset today.

North Attleboro 3, Foxboro 0

FOXBORO - Some late service points by Robyn Armstrong in both the first and second games enabled the Rocketeers to cool off Foxboro 25-17, 25-19, 25-20 in a Hockomock League match.

Armstrong totaled eight-straight service points to give North a 17-11 lead in the first game. Then he had seven-straight service points in the second game to create a 22-19 lead for the Rocketeers. Ashley Kepaa (nine kills) and Kate Boisseau (seven kills) were outstanding on the front line for North (12-3, 11-3 Hockomock), while Amy Chea totaled 10 assists. The Warriors got nice games out of senior Samantha Briggs at the net and sophomore Nikki Comeau defensively.

North visits Canton Friday, while Foxboro (10-6, 7-6) travels to Mansfield Wednesday.

Dighton-Rehoboth 3, Wareham 0

REHOBOTH - Sadie Gosselin went 15-for-15 serving, including seven aces, as the Falcons swept the Vikings in a South Coast Conference match (25-8, 25-5, 25-17).

Also for D-R, Sarah Tavares went 12-of-14 serving with six aces while Kayla Winter was 9-for-6 with five aces. The Falcons (9-9, 6-8 SCC) are at Bourne on Wednesday.
