City fire to be topic at North meetingNORTH ATTLEBORO - The North Attleboro Historical Society will hold its next meeting at 7:30 p.m. Monday, Nov. 17 at the Little Red Schoolhouse. The society will hear from Attleboro Area Industrial Museum Executive Director George Shelton, as he talks about "The Great Attleboro Fire of 1898."
Through photographs, maps and newspaper clippings, George Shelton will explore the causes and fighting of the fire and its lasting effects on Attleboro and the surrounding area. The Little Red Schoolhouse is next door to the Woodcock Garrison House at 362 North Washington St. The evening is free.
Get a flu shot in NorthNORTH ATTLEBORO - The North Attleboro Board of Health will host free flu clinics throughout October and November.
On Tuesday, Nov. 18, a flu clinic that will be open to the public including children 4 or older, will be held from 5 to 6 p.m. at the town hall.
Also, daytime appointments for a flu shot will be accepted. Call 508-699-0103 to make an appointment.
Fall fest aids North ball teamATTLEBORO - The second annual fall fest, to support the Cooperstown/AAU Fund for the North Attleboro Stars, will be held from 7 p.m. to midnight Friday, Nov. 21 at the Knights of Columbus in South Attleboro. Tickets will be available at the door for $20. There will be raffle baskets, food, beer and wine tasting, music and more.
NA Emblems host dinner, music showNORTH ATTLEBORO - North Attleboro Emblem Club 264 will host a catered hot buffet/dinner show, "Patriotic Songs And Stories" by Jack Craig, on Sunday, Nov. 23 at North Attleboro Elks Lodge 1011, 52 Bulfinch St.
Two dozen patriotic songs will be featured. Dinner is at 1:30 p.m, with doors opening at 1. Donation is $20; make checks payable to the North Attleboro Emblem Club. Deadline is Nov. 14. Mall looking for holiday performersNORTH ATTLEBORO - Holiday singers and musicians are wanted to perform at Emerald Square Mall throughout the holiday season. On the weekends of Nov. 28-30, Dec. 5-7, Dec. 12-14, and Dec. 19-21, the mall wants to provide a variety of entertainment for the thousands of people that visit. Time is also available during the week.
The mall is looking for groups that have performed in front of large crowds before, which includes dance troupes, school bands, choirs, soloists, ballet, tap, and jazz dancers. Performers are allowed between 30 and 45 minutes per act, and Emerald Square mall will provide a sound system, microphones, and a CD player.

The event will be held at Gillette Stadium in Foxboro, at the Fidelity Investments Clubhouse, from 6:30 to 11:30 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 28. Cost is $80 and dress is business casual. Classmates and friends are welcome.

NA Class of '03 reunites Nov. 29NORTH ATTLEBORO -
The North Attleboro High School Class of 2003 will hold a fifth reunion at DJ's at the Garden in Boston from 8 p.m. to 2 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 29.
Cost is $15 per person, due Nov. 10. Guests are also welcome at $15 per person. Any remaining funds from this reunion will remain in the class account and help defray costs for the 2013 reunion.
There will be appetizers throughout most of the night and entertainment starting at 10:30 p.m.

Leona's craft fair to benefit pantryNORTH ATTLEBORO - Leona's Family Restaurant on Route 152 will host a holiday craft fair from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 7.
Proceeds will benefit Lenore's Pantry in North Attleboro. Admission is $1, or free with any non-perishable food donation. Vendor tables are $40.

Hockomock Area YMCA offers itsby bitsy yogaNORTH ATTLEBORO - The Hocokomck Area YMCA is now offering nationaly recognized Baby Itsy Bitsy Yoga classes. Baby Itsy Bitsy Yoga contains dozens of postures designed to support baby's development.

NA school collects box tops, labelsNORTH ATTLEBORO - Community School families have signed up for several programs designed to earn cash for our school.
The school is collecting Box Tops for Education labels (found on General Mills, Pillsbury, Betty Crocker and many more products), Campbell's Labels for Education (found on Campbell's, Prego, Pepperidge Farm, and V-8 juice caps) and Shaw's Supermarket receipts (which earn "Shaw's Receipt Rewards"). In addition, subscribing to magazines through the Box Tops for Education Web site can earn the school up to 20 percent of sales.

Grace Church launches campaignNORTH ATTLEBORO - The Bell Choir of Grace Episcopal Church is inaugurating a Give-A-Bell Campaign as part of its ongoing effort to purchase its own set of handbells. Founded in June 2006, the group of about 14 handbell ringers, which plays at the church's regular 10 a.m. Sunday service once each month, has been working with bells leased from another church.
The Give-A-Bell Campaign will allow members of the parish to honor or memorialize loved ones by purchasing and donating one or more hand bells.
A personal inscription on the bell handle will carry a message so succeeding generations will remember the donor of the bell he or she rings in every worship service. Prices start at $100 per bell.
