KP B-Team in line for EMass. title

The King Philip Pop Warner B-Team recently won its second Super Bowl in three years.
King Philip started its three-year run of 34 wins against just two losses at the "D" level two years ago. After finishing the regular season undefeated they went on to win two playoff games, the Super Bowl, Eastern Mass. Championship, Mass. State Championship, but then lost to West Haven, Conn. for the New England Championship and the right to play for the National Championship in Florida.
At the "C" level last year they continued their winning tradition with eight regular season wins and two playoff victories.
This year at the "B" level the boys completed the regular season with with a record of 7-1, went on to win two playoff games and avenged a midseason loss with a 30-0 victory over Franklin in this year's Super Bowl.
The Chiefs, coached by Matt McEvoy and David Lovejoy, will play for the Eastern Mass. Championship on Sunday, and if succesful, will continue on for the New England Championship.
The C-Team, coached by David Benharris, beat Westwood 16-15 to advance to the Hockomock Tournament Championship Game.
The KP D-Team, coached by Mike McCarthy, also won the Hockomock Super Bowl, beating the Hyde Park Cowboys, 12-0.
