Famed Irish choral group will sing at NA Borders

Having trouble getting in the Christmas spirit?
Anuna, the famed Irish choral group, will be spreading holiday cheer during a live performance at 7 p.m. Saturday at Borders in North Attleboro in support of their new CD "Christmas Memories."
The sextet, who have performed in 23 countries and been seen and heard on 250 PBS stations across the country, will also be signing CDs at the end of the Borders appearance. it's part of a nationwide tour of Borders stores.
In 2007, Anuna had the number one world album in its CD "Celtic Origins," according to Nielsen Soundscan. They will be singing a capella versions of their music from the holiday album, which includes such favorites as "White Christmas," "O Holy Night" and "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas."
Other venues
E Roomful of Blues, a long-time New England favorite, has evolved greatly over the years through changes in repertoire and personnel. But the band is still the same old "Roomful" in its ability to create good times with a mix of jump, swing, blues, R&B and soul.
The eight-piece outfit led by guitarist Chris Vachon, performs at 8 p.m. Friday at Showcase Live at Patriot Place, the group's inaugural appearance at the upscale entertainment venue. For more information visit www.showcaselive.com.
E Krisanthi Pappas and her band will debut the artist's seasonal CD "You, Me and The Christmas Tree," at 8 p.m. Saturday at Oakes Ames Hall, 3 Barrows St., North Easton. The band includes Bill Duffy and Doug Hammer (piano), Steve Skop and Marshall Wood (acoustic bass), John DiSanto (drums), Andy Solberg (guitar), Bill Vint (saxophone and flute).
There will be complimentary holiday treats before and after the show. Tickets are $15 at the door.
E Blackstone River Theatre is holding a homecoming concert with some of the area's favorite Celtic artists at 8 p.m. Saturday at the Cumberland theatre. Tickets are $18. A silent auction will also be held.
E Performers include Aoife Clancy, The Atwater-Donnelly Trio, Matt & Shannon Heaton, Bertrand Laurence, Robbie O'Connell, Cory Pesaturo, Pendragon, and John Thibodeau & Barry Brown. For more information visit www.riverfolk.org.
