" Mark, I did not jump to any inaccurate conclusions. What I said was that an oppurtunity was missed for live blogging and the Super Bowl results were not addressed until after 4:00 p.m. "
" People, please be assured that The Sun Chronicle was ably represented at the games by Peter Gobis and James Schneider. They were in the press box, which is where all print media is supposed to be at Gillette. Sunnie, you in particular should no better than to jump to such inaccurate conclusions. "
" sunnie13: I agree with you. I was on the sidelines with my team cheering on our cougar boys @9am I was very surprised not to see anyone from the SC at the game. But I can't complain, there was live coverage of the game by Comcast SportsNet and also by North TV. "
" Walpole stomping Mansfield leaves them with just the Hockomock Championship for the MIAA to strip from them next week. Should make for some more good whining by the Mansfield Elitists. "
" Since this was updated @ 6:45 and my comments dissappeared I'm reposting..
I can not help but wonder why the Sun Chronicle felt that ignoring the local Super Bowls today would be in the best interest of the paper. With the country in a recession, most likely advertising is down and newspapers survive on this revenue. An opportunity was missed to do live interactive blogs from Gillette Stadium to improve exposure to the SC online community that is dominated by SC employees. I know I was blogging at sites of newspapers North of here today during the games. What an insult to Tri-County, Norton and Mansfield to have their "Blue Ribbon Daily" post the scores at 4:14 p.m. when the first game started at 9 a.m. Unfortunately, in this situation I have to credit Mark Farinella as the only one that seemed to show any interest in the Super Bowls and he did it while traveling to Seattle (as weve been informed by him on several occasions). Pathetic or prophecy...how long will the SC be around in this very competitive market. Are they going to charge us more for the daily paper or are they going to start to publish weekly instead?? "
