Gift drive is still looking for donors

ATTLEBORO - With just four days left, counting today, in the 25th annual Christmas Is For Kids gift drive, about 100 children still need to be matched with donors, and a hundred more gifts have to be dropped off at the donor center at 64 Water St. as soon as possible.

The annual gift drive, organized by the Attleboro Area Council for Childrne, for needy children ends this Tuesday, but gifts for more than 300 children matched by call-in donors have yet to be received, according to Kelly Fox, the director of the all- volunteer program.

She is appealing to the generous people who have said they would donate to "Please, please, please come in with your gifts as soon as possible."

In addition, more than 100 unmatched children remain on the list as well.

The greatest need now is for children in their teens. Fox suggests gift cards to the Game Stop or FYE in the Emerald Square mall or other places where teens can find the video games they like Movie passes also would be appreciated. The donor center will be open from 5 to 8 tonight, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday to accept gifts, as well as from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday and Tuesday.

The donor line phone number is 508-226-0911.
