2 Attleboro High students earn special state award

ATTLEBORO - Kali Baptiste and Teresa Pelleter are this year's winners of the Massachusetts Association of School Superintendents Awards from Attleboro High School.
Baptiste and Pelletier were introduced at Monday's school committee meeting. Both are top-level science students interested in pursuing careers in biology or medicine.
Baptiste is also a National Merit Scholarship commended student.
Baptiste is a member of the volleyball, softball and basketball teams as well as the student council and the Leo Club. Pelletier is vice president of the National Honor Society and danced as in the Rhode Island State Ballet for three consecutive years. She is also a violinist.
Principal Jeffrey Newman also announced Monday that 100 AHS students were named winners of this year's John and Abigail Adams awards, making them eligible for scholarships at state colleges and universities.
