BOSTON - On the first day of the Boston Holiday Invitational at the Reggie Lewis Center, the Bishop Feehan High indoor track team had several outstanding races, including two wins by the girls and one by the boys.

Feehan's freshman-sophomore distance medley relay team of Erin Svenson, Annie Galvin, Abbie MacBeth and Viviana Hanley won with a time of 13:34.06. The Shamrock girls also dominated the mile with three placements in the top six, including Erin Murphy's winning time of 5:36.33.

For the Shamrocks boys, Bobby McShane broke the tape in the open mile, winning in a personal-best time of 4:34.58.

Also at the Holiday Invitational, senior Dara Edge ran 8.76 seconds to win the 55 hurdles, highlighting Attleboro's afternoon. Don Caouette was fifth in the shot put while the freshman-sophomore distance medley relay team of Connor Kelly, Steve Pike, Ethan Fullerton and Joe Murphy combined for fourth place.

**SEEKONK also sent a team to Boston and junior Janelle Clarkson won the high jump with a school record leap of 5-5, breaking the old mark of 5-4 she shared with Missy Silva. **The MANSFIELD boys started the season off on the right foot, sweeping Foxboro and Stoughton Saturday to improve to 2-0 on the season. J.D. Chalifoux set the school record in the 50m dash while both Dan Glavin and Sean McCabe qualified for the state tournament. The Mansfield girls jumped on the Foxboro and Stoughton, easily defeating the two Hockomock foes to start the season. Sophomore Emily Broyles tied the school record in the 50m dash with a time of 6.2 while senior Kelly McCabe tied the school record in the high jump with a jump of 5-4. The Hornets travel to the freshman and sophomore meet at the Reggie Lewis Center next Sunday.

**It was a total team effort for the NORTH ATTLEBORO girls team, as they cruised past King Philip and Canton to start the season 2-0. Freshman Michelle Tachi led the Rocketeers with 10 points while classmate Natasha Gavilanez won the high jump in her first ever meet. The Rocketeers run in the Holiday Classic Tuesday at the Reggie Lewis Center. Sophomore Brady Shorey from North Attleboro set a new school record in the 50 meter dash with a time of 5.4 as the Rocketeer boys defeated King Philip and Canton. Sean McElwee set a new personal best and qualified for states with a jump of 6 feet in the high jump.
