The obituaries published Saturday, Dec. 20 were Charles William John Peagram, 77, of North Attleboro, Wilma Lawlor, 75, of Berkley, and Joseph H. King, 91, of North Attleboro.

Charles William John Peagram, 77

NORTH ATTLEBORO - Charles William John Peagram, 77, of Woodchip Square, North Attleboro, died peacefully at his residence on Thursday, Dec. 18, 2008 where he had been graciously cared for during his extended illness by his beloved wife Theresa May (Collette) Peagram, to whom he was married on July 2, 1973.

Born in London, England on Oct. 23, 1931, he was a son of the late Charles and Emily (Dipple) Peagram. Raised and educated in his native homeland, Mr. Peagram served with the Royal Navy of the United Kingdom.

He resided in North Attleboro since 1981, having moved to the community from neighboring Plainville where he had resided for eight years. Previously, he was an Attleboro resident. Mr. Peagram was employed by Texas Instruments in Attleboro for 29 years prior to his retirement as a supervisor in 1991.

His wife provided loving care and support during his seven-year illness and especially during the last difficult 13 months.

Mr. Peagram will be remembered as a true English gentleman who was kindhearted and possessed a gentle soul.

A communicant of St. Mark's Roman Catholic Church in Attleboro Falls in North Attleboro, Mr. Peagram enjoyed times spent in Florida, traveling to Hawaii and the time spent aboard his motorhome.

In addition to his wife of 35 years, he leaves two children: John and Linda; a stepson, Richard A. Robert of Hope Valley, R.I.; many grandchildren; two sisters, Joan Lee and Grace Phillips, both of England; and several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Hetty Bosky and Albert Peagram.

Private visitation will be held in the Memorial Chapel of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home, 161 Commonwealth Ave., Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro.

A private Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Mark Roman Catholic Church, Stanley Street, Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro with the Rev. Thomas Frechette, pastor, officiating.

Burial will follow in Swan Point Cemetery, Providence.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in his name and honor may be made to the Community VNA Hospice Care, 10 Emory Street, Attleboro, MA 02703 which provided tireless support and guidance during his illness.

Wilma Swift Lawlor, 75

BERKLEY - Wilma S. (Swift) Lawlor, 75, of South Main Street, Berkley, died on Wednesday, Dec. 17, 2008 at the Kindred Goddard Hospital in Stoughton following a period of declining health. She was the wife of the late Edmund Francis "Red" Lawlor, to whom she was married on June 28, 1951 and died on July 18, 2006.

Born in Taunton on March 28, 1933, Mrs. Lawlor was the daughter of the late Joseph and Florence (Colvin) Swift. Raised and educated in Taunton, she was a 1951 graduate of Taunton High School and resided in her native community until moving to Berkley 54 years ago. She attended St. Thomas Episcopal Church in Taunton.

Mrs. Lawlor was a devoted and dedicated homemaker to her husband and children and in recent years, her cherished grandchildren.

She was a former member of the Berkley Women's Union and will be lovingly remembered by her family for her strong will, determined drive and keen intelligence.

Her favorite pastimes included listening to jazz music, reading and enjoying a cup of Dunkin Donuts coffee and a donut.

She treasured most, however, the time spent among her immediate and extended families sharing special occasions and celebrations.

A woman with a soft soul and of compassion, she admired and loved cats.

She leaves three children: Diane R. Prodger of San Antonio, Texas, Bonnie E. Ludd of Lansing, N.Y. and Duane A. Lawlor of Whitefield, N.H.; four grandchildren; a brother, Richard Swift, Esquire, and numerous extended family members and beloved members of her late husband's family.

Visitation has been respectfully omitted.

At Mrs. Lawlor's request, funeral services will be held at a later date at the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne, followed by inurnment in the cemetery columbarium.

Joseph H. King, 91

NORTH ATTLEBORO - Joseph H. King, 91, of Second Avenue, North Attleboro, passed away on Tuesday, Dec. 16, 2008 in Sturdy Memorial Hospital, Attleboro. He was the husband of Beverly (Razee) King, with whom he celebrated 63 years of marriage.

Born in North Attleboro on Feb. 9, 1917, he was the son of the late William and Elizabeth (Diamond) King.

Joseph was educated in North Attleboro schools and at North Attleboro High School.

He worked for over 20 years as a printer at the former Chronicle newspaper. He later worked at and retired from The Attleboro Sun.

Joseph served his country in the U.S. Army during World War II in Italy and the Mediterranean.

He was the oldest member of Elks Lodge 1011 in North Attleboro, and also enjoyed fishing and golfing.

In addition to his wife Beverly, Joseph is survived by two daughters, Patricia Lamarre of Rhode Island, and Diane Dyer of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. Also survived by four grandchildren: Mindi Cantelo, Kevin Wills, Lindsay Lamarre, Kylie Lamarre; and three great-grandchildren: Jesse, Domenic, and Aaven.

Joseph is also survived by his beloved dog Wags.

Visiting hours will be held on Monday, Dec. 22 from 4 to 8 p.m. in the John J. Diamond Funeral Home, 180 North Washington St., North Attleboro. Family and friends will meet Tuesday, Dec. 23 at 10 a.m. at Saint Mary's Church, 14 Park St., North Attleboro to celebrate a funeral Mass. Burial will follow in Saint Mary's Cemetery, Attleboro Falls.
