CUMBERLAND, R.I. - A reward has been increased three-fold for information relating to four suspicious fires across the North Attleboro border here.

The reward has been increased from $2,000 to $6,000 for information to help solve the suspected arson blazes that took place within the same area within a week last month.

Two blazes were in an office park off Mendon Road. A tractor-trailer was discovered engulfed in flames, and an office trailer was also found on fire a few hundred feet away but wasn't as badly damaged, fire officials said.

The previous Tuesday night, two fires broke out in two businesses, one that destroyed Roberta's Hair Salon and the other that damaged Everybody's Favorite Family Restaurant, both also on the busy Mendon Road.

The state fire marshal has determined the fires appeared to have been set. The fire marshal's office and Cumberland Crime Stoppers, a citizens group, are offering rewards for information.
