Daniel A. BurgoyneNORTH ATTLEBORO - Army/Massachusetts National guard soldier Private First Class Daniel A. Burgoyne graduated on Dec. 18 from basic military training within the 434th Field Artillery Brigade at Fort Sill, Lawton, Okla.
Burgoyne is the son of Robert and Mari-Ann Burgoyne of John Westcott Drive.
During the nine weeks of training, he studied the Army mission, teamwork and organization, drill and ceremony, Army combatives, advanced rifle marksmanship, training in bayonet, pugil and treadwell, application of first-aid skills in combat, chemical, biological and nuclear scenario.
Burgoyne next will do four months of training within the 222nd Aviation Regiment, Company C-First Battalion at Fort Eustis, Newport News, Va.
Justin PriceNORTH ATTLEBORO - Marine Corps Pvt. Justin D. Price, son of Tara L. Price of North Attleboro, recently completed the Marine Corps Enlisted Warehouse Basic Course.
Price is a 2008 graduate of North Attleboro High School.
During the course with Marine Corps Combat Service Support Schools Training Command, Camp Lejeune, N.C., students are provided with a comprehensive theoretical and practical background in the performance and administration of duties as a warehouse clerk. Studies include storage and issue procedures, record keeping, inventory of materials, storing gear, and running warehouse machinery such as a forklift.
