Here are Holy Week services




Attleboro

Attleboro Area Council of Churches, will have annual noontime Ecumenical Holy Week services April 6 through Friday, April 10, in the Welcome Center at the National Shrine of Our Lady of LaSalette in Attleboro, luncheon to follow daily. On Friday, fish 'n' chips available for $8.50. Easter Sunrise Service at 6:30 a.m. on April 12 at the Newell Shelter in Capron Park. The Rev. Jay Fast, from The Covenant Church, will preside.

Attleboro Advent Christian Church, Pastor Bob Hett will lead a 10 a.m. Palm Sunday service with Communion. The topic is "Wise and Foolish Builders," with text Matthew 7:24-29 and based on the continuing series "Sermon on the Mount." Resurrection Day, April 12, will have a sermon at 10 a.m. and includes the topic "His Resurrection: Come and See, Go and Tell," with text Matthew 28.

All Saints Anglican Church, will have Palm Sunday services at 8 and 10 a.m., with Rev. All Saints Episcopal Church, will have services conducted by Rev. Bailey O. Whitbeck. This Sunday will be at 10 a.m. with readings from Isaiah 50:4-9a; Psalm 31:9-16; Philippians 2:5-11; Mark 14:1-15:47. The services are Monday and Thursday, 7 p.m.; Good Friday service at noon with homily by Rev. Dwight Fortune, and at 7 p.m. with with Right Rev. Bud Cederholm. Festival Easter Service is at 10 a.m. and a breakfast will be at 9. Easter readings are Acts 10:34-43; Psalm 118:1-2, 14-24; 1 Corinthians 15:1-11; Mark 16:1-8. Candleberry Chapel, will hold an Easter Cantata service at 5 p.m. Saturday, April 4 with the topic "Power of Rain," by Deacon Mike Petitbon with text Matthew 26: 36-44. Palm Sunday Service is at 9:30 a.m. with the topic "The god of Love and Peace Will Be With You," with Rev. Kenneth Boyle, and texts Luke 19:29-40, II Corinthians 13: 11-14. For Good Friday, the chapel will be open all day. Easter services will be held at 5 p.m. Saturday, April 11. On Easter, there will be a sunrise service at 6 and 9:30 a.m. The sermon topic is "Moving Beyond and Above Disagreement," with Rev. Kenneth Boyle, and includes text Mark 15: 16-26 and II Corinthians 13:11-14.

Centenary United Methodist Church, Rev. Nancy Collins will have worship at 9:45 a.m. with sermon topic, "Who is Christ For Us?" and text from Philippians 2:5-11 and Mark 11:1-11. Palm Sunday begins with children in Parade of Palms. Evangelical Covenant Church, 8:30 a.m. and 10:45 a.m. worship on Palm Sunday. This week's sermon's title is "He Entered Jeusalem," with text from Mark 11:1-11 and Philippians 2:5-11. Rev. Douglas J. Good News Bible Chapel, The church will hold a "Lord's Supper" service every Sunday at 9 a.m. "Celebration and Growth" worship and teaching service at 10:45 a.m. Steve DuPlessie will be teaching Part 23 of the series "Jesus according to John: Believe and live!" with text from John 7:53-8:11. Plainville

Crossway Church, Senior, Pastor Bauer Evans will preach a sermon on Palm Sunday at 10 a.m. with a special reading and palm processional. New Beginnings Christian Fellowship, located at 1 George St., at the corner of George Street and Route 106, in Plainville, will hold church services on Sunday at 10 a.m. and Sunday night prayer revival at 7 p.m.

Plainville Baptist Church, Sermon topic with Pastor Dave Meunier will be "Being Useful in God's Service," with text from Romans 9-11. Services are at 10 a.m. and 6 p.m.

Plainville United Methodist Church, The 9 a.m. worship service will be led by Rev. Peter Parent. Palm Sunday worship will be the sermon, "When the Lord Needs You," with text Mark 11:1-11. Holy Communion will be celebrated and Palms will be distributed.

Rehoboth

Christian Life Church, The church, located at 222 Plain St., will feature an 8:30 a.m. prayer and a 9:30 a.m. service.

First Spiritualist Church of Brockton, healing service at 10 a.m. Located in Anawan Garange in Rehoboth.

Rehoboth Congregational Church, United Church of Christ, Sunday services at 8:30 and 10 a.m., with children's Sunday school. The sermon will be led by Rev. Scott Spencer with text from Luke 15: 11-24.

Seekonk

Memorial Baptist Church, Services are every Sunday at 10:15 a.m. Sunday school classes at 8:45 a.m.; Good Friday, 7 p.m., with a re-enactment of the crucifixion on the front lawn, or if inclement weather, inside; Easter Sunday at 10:15 a.m.

Original Congregational Church, will be celebrating Palm Sunday at 10 a.m., Family Sunday with no Communion, with Rev. Ken Landin preaching "United By Love" and text from Philippians and Mark. Maundy Thursday will be April 9, 7 p.m., service of Communion and Tenebrae. April 10, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., is Good Friday Prayer, and you can come and go as you wish, with Stations of Prayer and Labyrinth Walk from 7:30 to 9 p.m.; Easter Sunrise Service will take place on Easter Sunday, April 12, at 6 a.m., followed by another service at 10 a.m.

Sheldonville Baptist Church, Pastor Doug Pettit to will present, "The Case for Easter: Was the Tomb Empty?" Family worship at 6 p.m. Easter Sunday will feature breakfast at 9:30 a.m., followed by a worship service at 11 a.m. with the chorus presenting the musical "Cornerstone."

Trinity Episcopal Church, There will be two services on Palm Sunday at 8 a.m., Holy Eucharist, Rite I, 10 a.m., Holy Eucharist, rite II. Rest of Holy Week schedule: Wednesday, April 8, 4 p.m. Holy Eucharist and a 7:30 p.m. Tenebrae; Maundy Thursday., April 9, 7:30 p.m., Holy Eucharist with ceremonial foot washing and stripping of the altar; Good Friday, noon and 7:30 p.m., Good Friday Liturgy; Easter evening, April 11, 7:30 p.m. Easter Vigil; Easter Sunday, 8 a.m. Holy Eucharist, Rite I, 10 a.m., Holy Eucharist, Rite II.
