REHOBOTH - Tori Rocha, Brittney Noons and Lyndsey Coutourier each stroked a pair of hits as the Dighton-Rehoboth High softball team came away with a hard-earned, 8-2 victory over Milton Saturday in a non-league game.
The Falcons (7-1) took a 3-2 lead into the seventh inning of the game, played at D-R, but was technically Milton's home game due to field conditions there. Jen Lundstrom went the distance on the pitching mound for the Falcons, allowing four hits and three walks, striking out five.
The Falcons used six hits in that final frame to take control. Noons and Danielle Flores socked back-to-back doubles, Rocha followed with an RBI-single and Kayla Cartin slugged a two-run triple.
Rocha tripled and scored on a Coutourier double for D-R's go-ahead run in the second inning. Meg Roy belted a solo homer in leading off the fourth inning, the Falcons having 10 hits in the game. D-R resumes its SCC slate Monday at Apponequet.
