LACROSSE: KP back in win column

WRENTHAM - The King Philip High boys' lacrosse team made sure it wouldn't be two losses in a row.

The Warriors came out strong on Saturday afternoon, pounding a good Hopkinton team, 10-3, after losing their first game of the season to Barnstable on Thursday.

"Our guys were just really revved up to come out and play today after a loss," King Philip coach Dan Warren said.

Kyle Lasher led the way offensively for King Philip, scoring four goals and dishing out two assists. The senior had two goals and an assist in each half and now has 19 goals and 10 assists on the year.

Marshall Haughey had two goals, Andrew Sutton two goals and an assist, and John Florence added a goal and an assist for the Warriors. Andrew Marks made 12 saves in net for King Philip, while Chris Pellichero led the defense. The senior captain had six ground balls and one assist. King Philip, 9-1 (6-0), finishes its first trip through the Hockomock League with a match against Canton on Monday.
