Blood drive planned at Roosevelt SchoolNORTH ATTLEBORO - The Roosevelt Avenue Elementary School, 108 Roosevelt Ave., will hold a blood drive from 3 to 8 p.m. Thursday, May 28 to benefit Children's Hospital.
All successful donors will receive a free gift.

NA MOMS Club sets tag sale for May 30
NORTH ATTLEBORO - The MOMS Club of North Attleboro will hold a tag sale/bake sale from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, May 30 at 491 Mount Hope St., the Robert Bliss office.
All proceeds of the sale will benefit the Richards Memorial Library's children's room. Items for sale will include baby gear, kids' clothing, toys, household items, and furniture. For more information on this tag sale, contact the club's e-mail at

NAHS Class of 1969 to hold reunionNORTH ATTLEBORO - The North Attleboro High School Class of 1969 is planning a reunion at 7 p.m. Saturday, May 30. It will be held at the VFW Hall on Jefferson Street in North Attleboro and tickets are $20 in advance. There will be a DJ, dancing, a buffet and cash bar. Tickets can be purchased by sending a check payable to: Deborah Carr, c/o Canterbury Woods, 100 Garfield Ave., Attleboro, MA 02703.

Bristol Lodge Masons to cook breakfastNORTH ATTLEBORO - The Masons of Bristol Lodge invite the public to join them for a cook-to-order breakfast from 8 to 11 a.m. on Sunday, May 31 at the Bristol Lodge, 46 South Washington St. in downtown North Attleboro.
Plenty of free parking in the rear of the building. The cost is $6 per person.
Go fishing at North VFW derby
NORTH ATTLEBORO - The Veterans of Foreign Wars' ninth annual fishing derby will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday, June 7. No license is required that day.
The derby is open to both children and adults and will be held rain or shine. The entry fee is $10, and hamburgers and hot dogs will be available after the event. Questions? Call the VFW at 50 Jefferson St. at 508-699-2052.
First Congregational to serve turkeyNORTH ATTLEBORO - The First Congregational Church, 675 Old Post Road, will hold a turkey supper on May 16, with servings at both 4:30 and 6 p.m. Reservations are required and can be made by calling 508-212-4774. May 16 - A not-so-silent auction will be be open from 1 to 7 p.m. with final bids no later than 7:29 p.m.
June 20 - A flea market will be held at the schoolhouse from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Nov. 14 - A flea market will be held at the school house from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.; the fall fair will be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Nov. 21 - The annual holiday vendor's fair will be held.
North GOP sets meeting scheduleNORTH ATTLEBORO - The North Attleboro Republican Town Committee's meetings will continue to be held the third Wednesday of each month (except July and August) at 7 p.m. at Mackie's Restaurant.
The dates are June 17, Sept. 16, Oct. 21, Nov. 18 and Dec. 16.

Leona's Restaurant continues to offer North Attleboro residents 55 and over a free lunch through the senior center each month. The next lunch with openings is Friday, June 12. Cost is $2 for gratuity, to be collected at signup.
Monthly meat raffles at VFW
NORTH ATTLEBORO - A meat raffle will be held by the North Attleboro VFW, 50 Jefferson St., the first Saturday of every month.
There will be 10 trays of meat, a 50/50 raffle, and $50 in scratch tickets to be raffled. The public is welcome. For hall rental information, call Patty at 508-699-2052.
NAHS Class of '79 to reunite Nov. 27NORTH ATTLEBORO - The North Attleboro High School's Class of 1979 will hold its 30-year class reunion on Friday, Nov. 27 at the Holiday Inn in Mansfield.

NA school collects box tops, labelsNORTH ATTLEBORO - Community School families have signed up for several programs designed to earn cash for our school.
The school is collecting Box Tops for Education labels (found on General Mills, Pillsbury, Betty Crocker and many more products), Campbell's Labels for Education (found on Campbell's, Prego, Pepperidge Farm, and V-8 juice caps) and Shaw's Supermarket receipts (which earn "Shaw's Receipt Rewards"). In addition, subscribing to magazines through the Box Tops for Education Web site can earn the school up to 20 percent of sales.
