Dental care program earns $10,000 grant

A program providing dental care to local low-income seniors has received a $10,000 grant from the Home Instead Senior Care Foundation.

The Elder Dental Program serves low income seniors in Attleboro, Canton, Dedham, Foxboro, Mansfield, Medfield, Millis, Norfolk, North Attleboro, Norton, Norwood, Plainville, Rehoboth, Seekonk, Sharon, Walpole, Westwood, Wrentham, and other areas upon request.

It is one of six organizations awarded grants from the Home Instead Senior Care Foundation this year.

The Elder Dental Program will provide services in conjunction with the Neponset Valley Community Health Coalition and Oral Health Foundation, Massachusetts Department of Public Health, Home Instead Senior Care Foundation, Massasoit Community College Dental Assisting Program, Tri-County Regional Vocational-Technical High School dental assistant students, North Attleboro Council on Aging, Mount Ida College Dental Hygiene Program, and Bristol Elder Services.
