City teen first runner-up in pageant

ATTLEBORO - An Attleboro teenager was named first runner-up in a state pageant Saturday in New Bedford.
Meagan Fuller, 16, placed second in the 2009 Miss Massachusetts Outstanding Teen pageant to Brianna Bostick, also 16, of Taunton. Fuller also received the Scholastic Achievement Award and Ad Seller Award.
Bostick will receive a $2,000 scholarship and various awards and gifts from pageant sponsors. She also received the Talent Award and a $100 savings bond.
She will have the opportunity to compete in the Miss America's Outstanding Teen pageant in August in Orlando, Fla. The platform issue that she will support this year is titled "Breast Cancer Awareness and Support Towards a Cure."
The Miss Massachusetts Outstanding Teen includes teenagers from ages 13 to 17. Other winners received a savings bond scholarship and trophies.
The second runner-up Saturday was Kendall Wipff, 16, of Andover.
Jordyn Jagolinzer-Machado, 14, of Seekonk, received the Community Service Award and People's Choice Award.
