REHOBOTH - Police recovered several rocks of crack cocaine during an early-morning traffic stop last weekend.
Police arrested Dennis P. Kelly, 43, of Berkley and charged him with possession of crack cocaine and driving without a license.
Police say they saw Kelly's car parked on the side of the road at the intersection of Anawan Street and Fairview Avenue about 2 a.m. Saturday.
When Officer Craig Warish spoke with Kelly, he saw a package of suspected crack cocaine on the vehicle floor.
Warish then took Kelly into custody, assisted by Sgt. Norman Todd.
Police Chief Stephen Enos said Wednesday he was unsure of the drug's street value.
The vehicle was towed from the scene.
Kelly faces arraignment in Taunton District Court at a later date.
