Top Headlines Raymond A. Clausius, 63 CUMBERLAND - Raymond A. Clausius, 63, of Hayfield Lane, lost his courageous three-year battle with cancer on June 4, 2009 at home. He was the beloved husband of Mary (Davis) Clausius and loving father of Ryan and Sarah Clausius. His granddaughter, Phoenix, was the second greatest love of his life. Especially close to his heart were Paige Parks and Brandi Pisani. He leaves his mother-in-law Irene, his sisters Marilyn and Barbara, a brother-in-law William and his wife Virginia. Ray leaves aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews who enriched his life. Ray was a Quality Systems Manager at AFC Cable Systems in New Bedford until his death. The support and kindness of his friends and coworkers allowed him to live the last three years with dignity, respect and productivity. Dufresne died suddenly, Tuesday, June 2, 2009 at Caritas Norwood Hospital, Norwood. He was 69. Born in Acushnet, he was the son of the late Albert L. and Beatrice (Gagne) Dufresne, and was a graduate of North Attleboro High School. He worked as an electrician for the I.B.E.W. Local 103 in Boston for 20 years. He became a licensed electrician after receiving his training through the I.B.E.W. Journeyman Electrician School. He also had his license as an oil burner technician and mechanic. A jack of all trades, he enjoyed his workshop and carpentry, and proved there was little he could not fix. He also enjoyed drawing. An avid reader, he loved his yard and garden, which he called "Magic Land." After a hard day working in the city, his yard and garden were his oasis. He was a member of the Franklin Rod & Gun Club and a U.S. Navy veteran, serving during the Cuban Missile Crisis and Guantanamo Bay. The husband of Roberta M. (Sullivan) Dufresne, he was the father of Jean M. Hanlon and her husband William of Norton, and Christine A. LeFoll of Newington, Conn. The brother of Patricia Belisle of East Falmouth, he was also the grandfather of Nicholas and Sean Hanlon, Zachary, Rachel, Daniel, Nathan and Caleb LeFoll, and his first born granddaughter, the late Sarah E. LeFoll. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and sisters- and brothers-in-law. Visiting hours were held Friday, June 5 at the R.J. Neale, 79, NORFOLK - Priscilla F. Neale, 79, of Holbrook Street, Norfolk, and a former Dover resident, died on May 15, 2009 in the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. She was the beloved wife of 34 years to Harry Neale. The couple was married on December 27, 1964, after a courtship that began as a blind date. Born in Norwood on November 20, 1929, she was a dear daughter of loving Christian parents, the late Carroll and Hazel (Brown) Findley, formerly of Foxboro. A graduate of the Foxboro High School in the class of 1957, she graduated from the Gordon College with her BS in 1961 and from Boston University with her BA in 1963. A physical education teacher, she had at one time taught at the Foxboro High School, where she was also the high school basketball coach. Priscilla had a strong and enduring faith, and called her involvement in bible studies an adventure, the continuation of which was the formation of the Emmanuel Baptist Church in Norfolk in 1965, and of which she was a charter member. Priscilla was proud of her family and called her children "three beautiful children," all of whom survive her: Lynda Neale, Edward Neale, and Andrew Neale, all of Dover. She so loved life, her God, her family, her Church, and her cottage in East Sandwich. Priscilla herself was a love. She praised her God for 10 bonus years of life and living fully, after successful surgery gave her a slower pace and renewed appreciation of all those things she cherished. Among those things she enjoyed and continued to do were, instruct students in piano, and as a substitute at the King Philip Regional High School, as a volunteer for the Welcome Wagon in Norfolk, and in ministry with her music as organist at the Ross Funeral Home. Marjorie Stigall, 85 NORTH PORT, FLA. - Marjorie (Anderson) Stigall, 85, of North Port, Fla., passed away at her home on Jan. 20, 2009 after a long illness. She was born May 29, 1923 in Plainville, to the late Chester and Alice Anderson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Chester Jr. and Gordon, both of Florida. Margie was survived by Bill Stigall, her husband of 60 years; her beloved sister-in-law Patricia (Gookin) Anderson of Florida; a cousin, Joan Vine of Plainville; and nieces and nephews. She graduated from Plainville High School in 1941. In early years, she was a member of the Kappa Sigma Gamma Sorority, and a charter member of the St. Martha's Church Women's Club. She and her husband Bill were avid golfers and former part owners of the Heather Hill Golf Club in Plainville. Through her long illness, Margie had a ready smile and cheery disposition, and she will be greatly missed by her husband and many friends. A memorial Mass will be held on Monday, June 8 at 11 a.m. at St. Martha's Catholic Church in Plainville, followed by internment in the Plainville Cemetery. Elia Mary Audette, 80 ATTLEBORO - Elia Mary Audette, 80, of Cummings Street, Attleboro, a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister passed peacefully on Thursday morning, June 4, 2009 at Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro. She was the beloved wife of fifty-two years to Richard T. Audette. Born Elia Mary Marasi in Somerville, MA on December 30, 1928, Elia was the daughter of the late Peter and Melania (Baratta) Marasi. She was raised and educated in Cambridge and was a graduate of Cambridge High and Latin, Class of 1948. Elia was employed as a key punch operator at Texas Instruments in Attleboro for several years and later was employed at the former J.M. Fisher Company in Attleboro as a production manager for over twenty years until retiring in 1991. Family and faith were the staples of Elia's life. A devoted parishioner of St. Joseph's Church in Attleboro, Elia volunteered at the St. Joseph's Food Pantry and also volunteered at many church festivals and bazaars over the years. She enjoyed gardening, cooking and years ago was active in the Girl Scouts. Her devotion and love of her family was Elia's greatest legacy. She enjoyed spending time with her husband and children and in later years was blessed with many grandchildren. In addition to her beloved husband, Richard, Eliz is survived by two daughters: Lynn M. Ferragamo and her husband Mario of Attleboro and Ann M. Faris and her husband Peter of North Attleboro; two sons: Mark T. Audette and his wife Sharon of Bridgewater, MA and Lawrence R. Audette and his wife Jean of Haverhill, MA; a sister: Olga Mili of Cambridge, MA; six beloved grandchildren: Michael A. Audette, Kevin J. Audette, Christina A. Ferragamo, Julia M. Ferragamo, Rachel A. Faris and Andrew S. Faris; and many nieces and nephews. "Nana" McHoul, 92, a longtime resident of Dorchester, passed away Thursday, June 4, 2009 at home. She was the beloved wife of Alexander F. McHoul for over 72 years, marrying on April 23, 1937. Born November 12, 1916 in Boston, she was a daughter of the late Maurice and Annie (Holt) Hennessy. Mildred lived nearly all her life in the Dorchester neighborhood of Boston before moving to North Attleboro three years ago. For many years, she and her husband owned and operated McHoul Funeral Home in Dorchester where Mildred worked answering phones and bookkeeping. She and her husband have inspired several generations of funeral directors who have followed in Alexander's footsteps including all three sons, two daughters-in-law, three grandchildren and two grandsons-in-law who are all licensed funeral directors in Massachusetts and New York. Mildred loved spending time with her family and for many years she enjoyed spending time at her family's beach house in the Hough's Neck section of Quincy. She's been affectionately known as "Nana" for over forty years. In addition to her husband, survivors include two sons, Douglas A. McHoul and his wife, Marikay of Hopewell Junction, NY and Vieques, PR and Donald A. McHoul and his wife, Barbara of Cumberland, RI; a devoted daughter-in-law, Anne McHoul of Plymouth; 13 grandchildren: Lori Cassidy, Bonnie Wiegard, Heather Sulca, Mary Ann Menuau, Douglas McHoul, Kary McHoul, Kelly Doyle, Deana McHoul-Welter, Reid McHoul, Austin McHoul, Christina Dearmon, Jamie O'Hanlon and Clinton McHoul; 36 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She was mother of the late David A. McHoul who passed away June 6, 2005 and sister of the late Maurice Hennessy, Edmund Hennessy, Dorothy Rollins and Rita Somers. Visiting hours will be held in the McHOUL FUNERAL HOME, 354 Adams Street, Dorchester on Sunday, June 7, 2009 from 2-5 p.m. A funeral will be held from the funeral home on Monday, June 8 at 9:30 a.m. followed by a Mass in St. Ambrose Church, Adams Street at 10:30 a.m. Burial will follow in Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree.
