Priscilla F. Neale, 69

NORFOLK - Priscilla F. Neale, 69, of Holbrook Street, Norfolk and a former Dover resident, died on May 15, 2009 in Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. She was the beloved wife of 44 years to Harry Neale. The couple was married on Dec. 27, 1964 after a courtship that began as a blind date.

Born in Norwood on Nov. 20, 1929, she was a dear daughter of loving Christian parents, the late Carroll and Hazel (Brown) Findley, formerly of Foxboro.

A graduate of Foxboro High School in the Class of 1957, she graduated from Gordon College with her bachelor of science degree in 1961 and from Boston University with her bachelor of arts degree in 1963.

A physical education teacher, she had at one time taught at Foxboro High School, where she was also the high school basketball coach.

Priscilla had a strong and enduring faith in God and she had called her involvement in Bible studies an adventure.

She was also active in the formation of the Emmanuel Baptist Church in Norfolk in 1965, and of which she was a charter member.

Priscilla also was the recipient of the Citizen of the Year Award from the Norfolk Grange in 1999.

Priscilla was proud of her family, and called her children "three beautiful children," all of whom survive her: Lynda Neale, Edward Neale, and Andrew Neale, all of Dover.

She so loved life, her God, her family, her Church, and her cottage in East Sandwich.

Priscilla herself was a love.

She praised her God for 25 bonus years of life and living fully, after successful surgery gave her a slower pace and renewed appreciation of all those things she cherished. Among those things she enjoyed and continued to do were instruct students in piano, and as a substitute at the King Philip Regional High School, as a volunteer for the Welcome Wagon in Norfolk, and in ministry with her music as organist at the Emmanuel Baptist Church and at the R.J. Ross Funeral Home.

Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate her life and to worship God at her memorial service, which will be held on Sunday, June 14 at 3 p.m. in the Emmanuel Baptist Church, Rockwood Road, Route 115, Norfolk.

Arrangements are in the care of Richard Ross and the RJ Ross Funeral Home, Wrentham Center.
