Marion A. (LaPalm) Mello, 73

NORTON - Marion A. (LaPalm) Mello, 73, of Norton died unexpectedly on Tuesday June 9, 2009 at Caritas Norwood Hospital in Norwood. She was the beloved wife of the late Robert M. Mello who passed away on July 15, 2003.

Born in Attleboro, MA on December 3, 1935 she was a daughter of the late Rudolph and Leafy (Miller) LaPalm. She grew up in Attleboro, was educated in Attleboro public schools and was a graduate of Attleboro High School.

In addition to being a dedicated homemaker to her family, Mrs. Mello had also worked in the Domestic Service Department at the Holiday Inn in Taunton for several years prior to retiring and had also been employed at Hallsmith-Sysco in Norton and for the former L.G. Balfour Co. in Attleboro.

Marion was very devout in her catholic faith and was a parishioner of St. Mary's Church in Norton. She enjoyed times spent at home with her family, crocheting, and she will always be remembered for her exceptional cooking skills and her charitable ways.

She had made her home in Norton for the past 26 years and was formerly of North Attleboro.

She is survived by her devoted children Janice E. Goulet of Falmouth, Corinne L. Kessmaul of South Attleboro, Michele A. Mello of Norton and Robert M. Mello, Jr. of Foxboro. She was the adoring grandmother Nicholas Kessmaul, Andrew Kessmaul, Adam Kessmaul, Rachael Hodson, Alicia Talbot and Janice Talbot. Marion is also survived by 6 cherished great-grandchildren.

A private funeral mass will be celebrated at the convenience of her family in St. Mary's Church in Norton. Burial will also be held privately.

Visiting hours have been omitted and those wishing may remember Marion with a donation in her memory made to St. Mary's Church Building Fund P.O. Box 430 Norton, MA 02766.

Warddell E. Giles, 75

ATTLEBORO - Warddell E. Giles, 75, of Oakhill Avenue died Tuesday at home.

He was the husband of Lois I. (Lovejoy) Giles.

He was born in Attleboro, a son of the late Warddell A. and Lillian B. (Smith) Giles.

He was a U.S. Navy veteran.

He was a machine operator for the Robbins Company for over ten years, and was also a driver for special needs children for over 7 years.

He has lived in Attleboro for over 50 years, coming from Rehoboth.

Mr. Giles loved to spend time with his Yorkshire terrier "Coco," liked birds, and also collected coins, enjoyed fishing and nature.

Besides his wife he is survived by a son Timothy E. Giles of Spring Hill, Florida, 2 daughters Debra Giles of Attleboro, Cynthia Silveira of Pawtucket, RI, 2 sisters Thelma Allard of Attleboro and Carolyn Grant of Taunton, 5 grandchildren, and 1 great-granddaughter, several nieces and nephews.

He was the brother of the late Edward F. Giles.

His funeral service will be held Saturday at 9 a.m. in the Cook-Hathaway Funeral Home, 160 Park St., Attleboro.

Burial will follow in the Newell Burying Ground, Attleboro. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Calling hours are today from 4 to 7 p.m.

Anne M. (Bova) Titcomb, 78

NORTH ATTLEBORO - Anne M. (Bova) Titcomb, 78, of East Washington St. died Saturday at the Kindred Northeast Specialty Hospital in Stoughton.

She was the wife of the late Harold W. Titcomb Sr.

She was born in Rhode Island, a daughter of the late Andrew and Rose Bova.

She was a school bus driver for the Laidlaw Company, and also manufactured jewelry for Balfour for many years.

She has lived in North Attleboro since 2002 coming from Attleboro,

Anne enjoyed spending time at LaSalette Shrine, liked computers, and birds.

She is survived by a son Harold W. Titcomb Jr. of North Attleboro, a daughter Carolyn A. Manton and her husband Bradford E. Manton of Attleboro, a sister Etta Kasputes of Plainfield, Conn., and three nieces, Gail, Linda and Eileen. She was the grandmother of Bradford, Timothy and Albert Manton, and the great-grandmother of Kayla, Ashlee, Ethan and Jackson.

Her funeral services are private. Arrangements are by the Foley Funeral Home, 126 South Main St., Attleboro.

Edgar C. Rapponeau

ZEPHYRHILLS, FLA. - Edgar C. Rapponeau died May 25, 2009. He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth; sister Annette Joan Lemire and her husband Alan and family.
