Debora Lynn Dulude, 52

NORTH ATTLEBORO - Debora Lynn Dulude, 52, of North Attleboro died Tuesday afternoon, June 9, 2009 at Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro surrounded by family and friends. She was the loving wife and best friend to James Dulude for 29 happy years.

Born on March 4, 1957 in Attleboro she was the daughter to Vera (Paquin) Pelletier and the late Raymond S. Pelletier.

Debbie was raised and spent her early years in Attleboro, MA. A resident of North Attleboro since 1989, she was a communicant of Sacred Heart Church and member of the Emblem Club. She was an avid cook, and also enjoyed gardening and crafts. She also immensely enjoyed planning and hosting many family holiday parties for her large and extended family. However, her greatest joy was found in raising her two children. Spending time with her children at plays, recitals, games, and practices provided a great source of happiness for her. Debbie attended Finberg School as a child. As a youth, she was active in the community and enjoyed dancing, candy striping, and girl scouting. In 1970 she won the Miss Attleboro Jr. High Pageant.

Following graduation from Attleboro High in 1975, she began taking classes at Rhode Island College. Just prior to starting college her brother, Raymond Pelletier Jr., began to suffer kidney failure and Debbie volunteered to donate one of her kidneys to save her brother's life. The operation was successful, and extended her brother's life another 19 years.

Soon thereafter she married in 1980.

Before having children Debbie worked as a waitress at Morins Restaurant in Attleboro, as a dental assistant, and as a customer service specialist at Balfour Co.

The family would like to express their love and profound appreciation to all those who helped Debbie live out her last few years at home and in comfort. Particular thanks are given to her niece Dawn Ilic, and close friends and caregivers June Berdos and Dorie Monse.

In addition to her husband and mother, Debbie is survived by her two children- Christopher Dulude of Springfield, MA, and Kimberly Dulude of Fairfield, CT; her sister Carol Peterson of South Yarmouth, as well as many nieces and nephews.

She was the sister of the late Raymond S. Pelletier Jr., and also the late Pamela A. Mikulis.

Her funeral will be held Monday at 8:30 a.m. from the Foley-Hathaway Funeral Home, 126 S. Main St., Attleboro, MA, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in Sacred Heart Church, 58 Church St. North Attleboro.

Burial will follow in Stevens Corner Cemetery, Rehoboth MA.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Calling hours will be Sunday 4 p.m.-8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Community Visiting Nurses Alzheimer's Program, 10 Emory St. Attleboro, MA.
