Obituaries were published Monday for Emma P. Irvine, 88, of North Attleboro; and Helen Theresa Davis, 89, of Wrentham.

Emma P. Irvine, 88

NORTH ATTLEBORO - Emma P. Irvine, 88, formerly of Jay Street, North Attleboro, passed away on Saturday, June 13, 2009 in the Madonna Manor Nursing Home. She was the beloved wife of the late Arthur Irvine.

Born in North Attleboro on June 17, 1920, she was a daughter of the late Peter and Maria Nardelli.

Emma was educated in North Attleboro schools and was a graduate of North Attleboro High School.

A homemaker, she also worked years ago at C. Ray Randall Company, Gaudette Leather and Evans Case Company.

She served as president of the Emblem Club, and was a member of the Sons of Italy. Emma was a voting poll volunteer for many years.

She also was an avid bingo player and enjoyed cooking, especially for members of her extended family.

Emma is survived by many nieces and nephews.

She was the sister of the late James Nardelli, Mickey Nardelli, Nancy Lucchetti, Julia McAvoy, Mary Stack, Carmella Kivlin and Eugene Nardelli.

A funeral will be held on Wednesday, June 17, 2009 at 9:30 a.m. from the John J. Diamond Funeral Home, 180 North Washington Street, North Attleboro followed by a funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m. in St. Mary's Church, 14 Park Street, North Attleboro. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Attleboro Falls.

Visiting hours will be held in the funeral home Tuesday from 4 to 7 p.m.

Helen Theresa Davis, 89

WRENTHAM - Helen Theresa Davis, 89, of Taunton Street, Wrentham, died on Sunday, June 14, 2009 in her home. She was the beloved widow of Raymond Marshall Davis, who predeceased her on November 6, 2003, and to whom she was married on January 13, 1943.

Born in Boston on February 2, 1920, she was the dear and devoted daughter of John Patrick and Nellie (O'Connell) Murphy. Formerly of Jamaica Plain, she was a graduate of the Jamaica Plain High School, and went on to attend a Boston business school.

She was a longtime Dedham resident, and had moved to Wrentham in 1997. While in Dedham she had been an active communicant of St. Susanna's Church where she had also been a member of the church's Women's Club.

She was the loving and devoted mother of Joanne M. and her husband Paul Cunningham of Dedham, Raymond G. and his wife Maureen Davis of Wrentham, John A. and his wife Susan Davis of Franklin (also of John's late wife Anne Osborne Davis), Thomas J. and his wife Patricia Davis of Mansfield, Maryellen and her husband Edward Fitzgerald of Wrentham, and Paul V. and his wife Jane Davis of Franklin. She was the dear sister of Cornelius C. Murphy, SJ of Boston College High School in Boston. She was the cherished grandmother of Katherine Cunningham, Paul and his wife Kim Cunningham, Zachary, Benjamin, Timothy, and Gregory Davis, Kelsey Davis, Thomas, John, Colleen, and Bridget Davis, Ned and Rose Fitzgerald, Kevin, Sarah and Carolyn Davis, and was the aunt of many loved nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the R.J. Ross Funeral Home, 135 South Street, Route 1A, Wrentham Centre on Tuesday from 4 to 8 p.m.

Her funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday at 9 a.m. in St. Mary's Church, 140 South Street, Route 1A, Wrentham Centre. Burial will be in Brookdale Cemetery, Dedham.
