Armand E. Beauregard, 87

ATTLEBORO - Armand E. Beauregard, 87, of Nash Lane, Attleboro, a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and brother passed unexpectedly on Tuesday, June 16, 2009 at Rhode Island Hospital in Providence. He was the beloved husband of sixty-five years to Hilda G. (Oliver) Beauregard.

Born in Attleboro on August 5, 1921, Armand was the son of the late Joseph and Medora (Cournoyer) Beauregard. He was raised and educated in Attleboro.

During World War II, Armand proudly served as a coxswain in the United States Navy. He enlisted on March 20, 1942 and was honorably discharged on October 15, 1945.

Mr. Beauregard was employed as an electroplater for forty-two years at Plastic-Craft Inc. in Attleboro until retiring twenty-three years ago.

A lifelong resident of Attleboro, Armand enjoyed playing tennis, Scrabble and solving crossword puzzles. An avid stamp collector, Armand also enjoyed watching basketball, cooking and working in the yard.

Family was the staple of Armand's life.

He was a devoted husband and father and in later years was blessed with grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

In addition to his beloved wife, Hilda, Armand is also survived by a daughter: Linda L. Haas of East Greenwich, RI; two sons: Robert A. Beauregard and his wife Debra Bilow of Brookline, NY and Peter T. Beauregard and his wife Jennifer of Attleboro; a sister: Hilda Leabitt of Westfield, MA; two grandchildren: Stephanie Blass of Easton, MA and Christopher Haas of Denver, CO; two great-grandchildren: Reese Blass and Braeden Blass; and several nieces and nephews.

Armand was the beloved brother of the late Gerard Beauregard.

Family and friends are kindly invited to attend visiting hours on Thursday, June 18, 2009 from 5 to 8 p.m. in the Duffy-Poule Funeral Home, 20 Peck Street, Attleboro.

A funeral will be conducted on Friday, June 19, 2009 at 9 a.m. from the Duffy-Poule Funeral Home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. John the Evangelist Church, 133 North Main Street, Attleboro celebrated by the Rev. Richard Roy, pastor.

Following Mass an invitation is extended for all to gather with the family for a time of continued friendship and fellowship. Mr. Beauregard will be laid to rest at a later date with full military honors at the V.A. National Cemetery of Massachusetts, MacArthur Blvd., Bourne.

Edna L. Lorden, 90

ATTLEBORO - Edna L. (Bristow) Lorden, 90, of Park Street, Attleboro, formerly of Canterbury Woods, Garfield Avenue, Attleboro and Taunton Street, Plainville, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 9, 2009 at the Life Care Center of Attleboro where she had been a resident for the past three years. She was the wife of Arthur J. "Bud" Lorden.

Born in Franklin, Massachusetts on April 12, 1919, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Margaret (Eagan) Bristow. She resided in the City of Attleboro for most of her life having spent some years in Plainville. Mrs. Lorden was employed as the executive secretary to Mr. L. G. Balfour of the L.G. Balfour Company in Attleboro for more than 30 years.

She was a woman of strong religious convictions and was a longtime communicant of St. Martha Roman Catholic Church in Plainville where she and her husband worshipped for many years and where she served as the religious education secretary for many years ago until retiring from that position twelve years ago. For many years she and her husband were an important part of the St. Martha community.

In addition to her husband, Mrs. Lorden leaves two nephews: Howard C. Bristow, Jr. and his wife, Bonnie (Blackburn) Bristow, of North Attleboro and Paul M. Bristow and his wife, Dee Kronenburg, of Attleboro; a niece: Marsha Collins of Millis; three great nieces and nephews and four great great nieces and nephews.

She was the sister of the late Howard C. Bristow, Sr. who died on March 23, 2009 and Paul Morrison and Marie Collins. She was the aunt of the late William Collins.

Visitation has been respectfully omitted.

Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend a Memorial Mass of Christian Burial on Friday, June 26, 2009 at 11 a.m. at St. Martha Roman Catholic Church, 227 South Street, Plainville with the Rev. J. Garrett "Gary" Thompson," pastor, officiating.

Burial will follow in North Purchase Cemetery, North Main Street, Attleboro.

James L. Caiani, 50

FOXBORO - James L. Caiani, age 50, died on Monday, June 15, 2009 at his home in Waltham. He was formerly of Foxboro and West Roxbury.

Jimmy was born in Brighton on March 28, 1959 and attended Hyde Park High School.

He actively participated in the Till Day Program in Watertown.

Jimmy brought love and joy to his family and to all the people whose lives he touched. He was a devoted son, brother, nephew and uncle.

Beloved son of Rita E. (Chichetto) Caiani of Foxboro and the late Louis Caiani. Loving brother of Rita M. Greeley of Foxborough and the late Brian F. Greeley, Nancy E. DeMaesschalck and her husband Mark of Foxboro and Jean M. Caiani and her husband Vincent Spaulding of California.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend calling hours on Thursday June 18, 2009 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Roberts & Sons Funeral Home 30 South St. in Foxboro.

Richard 'Dicky' Sante Blandori, 69

MANSFIELD - Richard "Dicky" Sante Blandori, 69, of Mansfield, passed away peacefully with his dearest friends by his side at Sturdy Memorial Hospital on Monday, June 15.

Mr. Blandori (also known to friends as "Mutsie") was a lifetime resident and "townie" of Mansfield. He graduated from Mansfield High School in 1958 and attended Curry College of Milton.

In 2001 Mr. Blandori was inducted into the Mansfield Football Hall of Fame for his sportsmanship in 1958. He was very involved with the Mansfield Midget Football in the 1970s.

In 1977, he was chairman of the Mansfield School Committee, in the 1980s he was chairman of the Mansfield Recreation Committee and in the 1990s he was chairman of the Mansfield Lions Club.

Mr. Blandori was retired from Commonwealth of Massachusetts as a prison guard at the Walpole prison and also served as a U.S. Merchant Marine.

In addition to the many committees that Mr. Blandori served on, he was very involved with Mansfield town politics and he was dedicated to voting and choosing the best candidates for the town of Mansfield.

Born in Attleboro, Mr. Blandori was a son of the late Amando and Adrianna (DeSantis) Blandori.

A funeral from the Bolea-Amici Funeral Home, 115 No. Main Street, Mansfield will be held on Friday June 19 at 8 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary's Church, 330 Pratt Street (Rte. 106) Mansfield at 9 a.m. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend.

Visiting hours are Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m. Interment will be at St. Mary's Cemetery.

Following interment, friends are invited for continued fellowship at Fitzy's Pub, 1 Man Mar Drive, Plainville, MA.

Muriel K. Evans, 76

REHOBOTH - Muriel K. Evans, 76, of Rehoboth passed away Wednesday June 10, 2009 at her home. She was the loving wife of Thomas E. Evans.

Born in Milton, MA she was the daughter of the late Leonard H. and Ethel (Michaud) Kinney and sister of the late Erving Kinney. Muriel was a graduate of Faulkner Hospital School of Nursing in Boston and she worked as a registered nurse at Sturdy Memorial Hospital for more than 20 years.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by: son David Evans and his wife Jenay of Seekonk, MA; daughter Susan McClain and her husband Donald of Lincoln, RI; son Pete Evans and his wife Lisa of East Greenwich, RI and son John Evans and his wife Penny of Rehoboth, MA. She was the proud grandmother of: Kara, Thomas, and Kirsten Evans of Seekonk; Patrick and Katherine McClain of Lincoln; Katie, Kelly, and Sara Evans of East Greenwich and Michael, Alyssa, and Hannah Evans of Rehoboth.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday June 20, 2009 at the Rehoboth Congregational Church, 139 Bay State Road, Rehoboth, MA. Burial will be private.
