Donald Richard White, 86

MANSFIELD - Donald Richard White, 86, of Mansfield, formerly of Franklin Square, NY, died on June 17, at Willow Crossings in Mansfield following a brief illness. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 53 years, Barbara.

He is survived by his children: Richard and his wife Kathleen of Pacific Grove, CA; David and his wife Lauren Shaw of Austin, TX; Catherine White and her husband Donald McGinty of Norton; Nancy Vetere and her husband Vincent of Alexandria, VA; and Maureen Klosterman and her husband William of Waynesville, OH. In addition, he is survived by three granddaughters: Margaret White of Atchison, KS, and Sarah Rose and Annabelle White of Austin, TX.

He was born in Boston, a son of the late Arthur J. White and Helen T. (Finn) White. Donald graduated from Foxboro High School in 1941 and enlisted in the United States Navy on December 8, 1941. He was awarded the Purple Heart after surviving the sinking of the USS Tasker H. Bliss off the coast of Morocco. He received a B.S. in business administration from Boston University in 1950.

He retired from Northrop Grumman on Long Island in 1989 after 28 years of service as a data configuration analyst.

Funeral services and burial will be held privately at the VA National Cemetery in Bourne.

Visiting hours are omitted.

Arrangements are through the Bolea-Amici Funeral Home, 115 North Main St., Mansfield.

Trevor James Steadman

ATTLEBORO - Trevor James Steadman was delivered and passed on June 7, 2009 at Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro.

Trevor is survived by his parents Brian Scott Steadman and Amy Leigh Pelletier and his big sister Brielle Nicole Pelletier, all of Attleboro. Trevor is also survived by his grandparents Cynthia and James Kennedy of Attleboro and Donald and Carol Nason of Attleboro and the late Lauren Nason. He is also survived by his great-grandparents: Alexander James Coutts of Quincy, Joan Flynn of Holbrook, MA, Rebecca and John Smith of Attleboro and a great-grandmother Thelma Weilding of Norton. Trevor is also survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Family and friends are kindly invited to attend a funeral service on Saturday, June 20, 2009 at 10 a.m. in the Duffy-Poule Funeral Home, 20 Peck Street, Attleboro. Trevor will be laid to rest in Mt. Hope Cemetery and Arboretum, Mt. Hope Street, Attleboro Falls.
