Last modified: Tuesday, June 23, 2009 2:20 AM EDT MHS top sports program in Hock MANSFIELD - The Mansfield High School Athletic Dept. was the recipient of the Hockomock League's All Sports Trophy, based upon the final standings of its athletic teams during the 2008-09 calendar year. The Hornets compiled 185 points to outdistance runner-up Franklin and third place finisher King Philip. During the recent school year, Athletic Director Pat Burns cited championships taken by the boys' and girls' cross county teams, the boys' and girls' indoor and outdoor track teams, the gymnastics team, the boys' swimming team, the girls' lacrosse team and the golf team. In addition, Mansfield High was the second place finisher in Hockomock League competition in girls' soccer, football, field hockey and baseball.
