FOXBORO - The Foxboro Legion baseball team continues to rise in the District 6 West standings.

This time it was at the expense of Medfield, as Post 93 scored nine runs in the game's first three innings Friday at Foxboro High School en route to an easy 9-2 win.

Foxboro High product Brian Swanton got the win on the mound, going five innings and allowing just one run on four hits. Chuck Erickson relieved the right-hander in the sixth inning and Joe Clagg closed the game out, coming in with two on and no out in the top of the seventh and escaping unscathed.

Mike Farrell was 2-for-5 at the top of Post 93's lineup with two runs scored, Nick Thrasher had two runs scored and a double, Chuck Erickson added two RBI on two hits and Swanton helped his own cause at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two RBI and two runs scored.

Medfield added a run in the sixth inning but it was too little as Foxboro (6-1) avenged its only loss of the season. Post 93 travels to Walpole today.
