15 gallons of fuel spilled in Norton

- An estimated 15 gallons of diesel fuel spilled from the tank of a trash hauler early Friday morning after it ran over an island off Robin Circle.
The incident was report about 6:45 a.m.
Firefighters responded and the state Department of Environmental Protection was also called to the scene. The town's conservation commission was also alerted.
About 75 gallons of diesel fuel was removed from the truck.
A fire hydrant on the island was not damaged.
The truck is owned by Waste Management.
