Norfolk County Cardiology Associates, which provides cardiology services in the Attleboro and western Norfolk County areas, is becoming part of the Caritas Christi medical system.

Members of the previously independent cardiology practice will now become employees of Caritas Christi, spokeswoman Mary Wallan said.

Cardiology associates has offices in Norwood, Walpole and Wrentham and also provides cardiology services through Family Medical Associates in Attleboro. Associates patients will not notice any change as a result of the new arrangement, which took effect this week.

Norfolk County Cardiology Associates has provided cardiovascular services to physicians and patients in the greater Norwood, Wrentham, Walpole, and Attleboro communities for many years.

"Norwood Hospital has long enjoyed a close relationship with NCCA," hospital President Margaret Hanson said. "We are very pleased that this highly regarded group of cardiologists has decided to work more closely with Norwood Hospital and the Caritas Christi network to better serve the cardiac care needs of the communities we serve."

Physicians who will join the Caritas Christi Physician Network include: John Cadigan III, Waqar Cheema, William Dillon, John Kinch, Paul Schwerdt, and Debra Sherman.
