GOBIS: Hopkins takes his cuts this summer

** Former Bishop Feehan High Shamrock Greg Hopkins is having a terrific summer season with Haymarket (40 minutes outside of Washington, D.C.) in the Virginia Summer College Baseball Team.
The starting shortstop is leading the Senators and Shenandoah Valley League with a .458 batting average and a .708 slugging percentage. The St. John's University junior, who calls Mansfield his hometown, has just two errors in the field, too.
"It's like the game slows down for him," said Haymarket coach Ray Fecteau. "Everything is real smooth. There's no panic or tightness in him" ...
** Former Foxboro High Warrior and UMass-Amherst Minutewoman Mary Shea played in the Women's National Field Hockey championships again at Virginia Beach, for the Northeast high performance team for the third straight year. Shea, a midfielder, captain and 2008 season MVP at UMass played in all six games and netted a goal ...
