NORTH ATTLEBORO - About an hour-long power outage at JC Penney at Emerald Square mall trapped one person in an elevator briefly on Sunday.

The 10:50 a.m. outage was confined to JC Penney, which had an electrical problem, fire officials said.

Golf tourney helps Relay for LifeThe Relay For Life of Greater Attleboro will hold its first golf tournament on Oct. 12 at Wentworth Hills in Plainville.

The entry fee is $75 per golfer.

This as an unofficial kickoff of the 2010 Relay For Life of Greater Attleboro. Past and present committee and team members are encouraged to get involved and attend. Volunteers, donations and sponsorships are needed.
