Old Colony Habitat plans training day

ATTLEBORO - Old Colony Habitat for Humanity is holding a volunteer training day Saturday, Sept. 26 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The event is being held at First Baptist Church, 118 South Main St., Attleboro

Topics to be covered include site safety, basic hand-tool use, and basic construction techniques.

During the program everyone will have an opportunity to participate in constructing walls, and installing walls and windows.

With a house renovation in Norfolk and new-home construction coming up soon in Norton, volunteers are needed.

Volunteers will also be building 100 birdhouse kits, which are designed for children and will be sold throughout the area to raise funds for the next build. Old Colony Habitat for Humanity is dedicated to providing decent, affordable housing in partnership with families in need. Learn more at www.oldcolonyhabitat.org.
