Top Headlines Soloist Wendy Warner will perform at Showcase Live Sunday with orchestra
FOXBORO - The Neponset Valley Philharmonic Orchestra will open its 2009-10 season at 3 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 11, with a classical concert of Mendelsohn's "Hebrides Overture", "Concerto No. 1 for Cello" by Saint-Saens, with Wendy Warner, cello soloist, and Brahms' Symphony No. 2, at 3:00 p.m., Showcase Live, Foxboro.Tickets: Adults $40, seniors $30, students $10 at www.NVPOrchestra.org. Warner has performed on some of the world's most honored stages, including New York's Carnegie Hall, Symphony Hall in Boston, Los Angeles' Walt Disney Hall, Paris' Salle Pleyel and Berlin's Philharmonie. The Neponset Valley Philharmonic Orchestra is made up of young professional conservatory-trained musicians from across the globe, and bills itself as the only professional orchestra in the local area.
