GOLF: Bombardiers swing into tourney

SWANSEA - The Bombardiers are tournament-bound.
With senior Tyler Dias carding a medalist round of 38, the Attleboro High School golf team carved out a 248-272 victory over Somerset Tuesday at the Swansea Country Club to qualify for the MIAA Division 1 Tournament.
Dias had birdies on the par-5 No. 2 hole and the par-3 No. 6 hole en route to a 2-over-par round. Chris Lajoie and Brandon Nolan came in with 41's for AHS, which is now 8-6-1 on the season. The Bombardiers entertain Durfee High today at the Highland CC.
** At the Franklin CC,
KING PHILIP (5-11) completed its Hockomock League slate of matches by losing 161-171 to Franklin High. Cam Bushway carded a Warrior medalist round of 42. KP will assemble at the Wentworth Hills CC this morning at 9 for the Hockomock League Championship Tournament.
** At the Crestwood CC,
DIGHTON-REHOBOTH (11-5) completed its South Coast Conference season with a 341/2-191/2 victory over Fairhaven. The Falcons captured third place in the SCC. Ben Remsbecker and Zach Moitoso took 121/2 points for D-R in the second flight. D-R has a non-league match Thursday against Bishop Feehan at the Heather Hill CC.
** In a Tri-Valley League match, Medfield got the better of
NORTON, 232-244. The Lancers got 2-over-par rounds of 37 from both Jon Mattos and Peter Danko. The Lancers (13-5) travel to play Bellingham this afternoon before finishing the regular season Thursday.
