Top Headlines Finalists for town manager named
MANSFIELD - The town manager search committee has named three finalists for the post formerly held by John D'Agostino. The finalists, in alphabetical order, are: Dedham Town Administrator William Keegan Jr.; Warren R. Ross, formerly the city manager in Jackson, Mich.; and John T. Yunits Jr., a former mayor of Brockton who has been working in the private sector. Keegan was a former town administrator in Seekonk, having left there in May 2002 for the Dedham post. Full biographies on the candidates were not available Wednesday. The finalists were among those interviewed during a marathon executive session held by the search committee Friday. The committee met again Tuesday to vote on which candidates would be passed along to selectmen, who will have the final say on naming the new town manager. Selectmen are planning to interview the three finalists at their Nov. 4 board meeting, with possible second interviews and a vote coming on Nov. 10. After serving as the town's top executive for 12 years, D'Agostino left office in June after reaching a buyout agreement with selectmen. He has been named a finalist for Billerica's town manager position. In Mansfield, Building Inspector Nick Riccio has been filling in on an interim basis and did not seek the town manager's job permanently. MATT KAKLEY covers Mansfield for The Sun Chronicle.
