MANSFIELD - A local man faces drunken driving charges in Attleboro District Court related to a single-car crash at Branch and Eddy streets over the weekend.

Police allege Derek M. Franzen, 24, of 28 Jake's Way in Mansfield, was the driver of a car that struck a utility pole on Branch Street around 2:15 a.m. Sunday.

Franzen declined to be taken to a hospital, police said. He was charged with a second-offense drunken driving charge and driving to endanger.
