NORFOLK - Those who have preregistered for Saturday's 5-mile walk/run in memory of Adam Kennedy can pick up their registration and bib numbers Friday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Norfolk Public Library.

"Adam's Army Run, First Annual Memorial Run" is in honor of Kennedy, who grew up in Norfolk and died at age 25 in Iraq in 2007. Registration for the event begins at 8:30 a.m., with the race kicking off at 11 a.m. at Freeman-Centennial School off Boardman Street, which is off Rockwood Road and Main and Seekonk streets.

Parking is available at town hall downtown, with a shuttle to the race location.

Race proceeds will raise money for a scholarship in Kennedy's name that is being awarded for the first time after the race.
