Join in events with Seekonk seniors

A veteran's program with Gil Woodside will be held on Nov. 4 at 10 a.m. A turkey lunch will be available for $2, call to make a reservation.Every Monday from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m., Selectman Francis Cavaco will be at town hall in the selectman's meeting room. There is a dedicated group of ladies who knit for the homebound elderly of Seekonk Mondays from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. Baby items, such as hats, mittens, and sweaters are donated to those in need.

Serving Health Insurance Needs of Elders Counselors (SHINE) are available to help with Medicare and all health insurance needs. Health insurance is mandatory in Massachusetts. Prescription advantage has open enrollment until further notice, and food stamp applications are available. Call 508-336-8772. St. Mary's Senior Saints plans brown bag auction

SEEKONK - St. Mary's Senior Saints of Seekonk announce the following events and trips. For further information, contact Yvonne Wordell at 508-252-2010.

A memorial Mass will be held on Nov. 3 at 11 a.m. followed by a turkey dinner at noon.

The group's Christmas party at the Venus de Milo in Swansea will be held on Dec. 9 at 11:30 a.m. Entertainment will be provided by Michael Dutra with a sing-a-long with Just Julie. Chicken Francais, minestrone soup, and dessert and coffee will be served. Scrod dinners are available, if ordered in advance. There will also be a split the pot and gift basket raffle.
