WRENTHAM - A North Attleboro woman was arrested early Saturday morning and charged with drunken driving after crashing into a utility pole at Wampum Corner while she was using a cell phone.

The accident was reported at 1:15 a.m. in front of Wampum Corner Liquors.

Laura Ahern, 25, of 212 Fisher St., Apt. A9, North Attleboro, was arrested at the scene and charged with operating under the influence of alcohol and impediment operation - talking on a cell phone.

"Other than alcohol, that had been a contributing factor," Police Sgt. Jeff Smith said.
