Ruth Maloney, 80

ATTLEBORO
- Ruth Maloney, 80, of Stoney Brook Lane, Attleboro passed peacefully on Saturday, Oct. 17, 2009 at Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro.

Born in Boston on Jan. 12, 1929, Ruth was a daughter of the late James and Gertrude (Ziegler) Maloney.

Ruth was a loving and compassionate lady. Her smile and pleasant attitude were trademarks which carried her throughout her life. Ruth is survived by her caregivers and friends at Stoney Brook Lane in Attleboro and by her many friends in the greater Attleboro community.

Family and friends are kindly invited to attend a memorial service celebrating Ruth's journey through life on Friday, Oct. 23, 2009 at 10 a.m. in the Duffy-Poule Funeral Home, 20 Peck St., Attleboro. Flowers are welcome.

Following funeral services, Ms. Maloney will be laid to rest in North Purchase Cemetery, North Main Street, Attleboro.

Theresa Margaret Clarke, 97

ATTLEBORO
- Theresa Margaret Clarke, 97, of Pleasant Street, Attleboro, formerly a 35-year resident of Foley Street in Attleboro, passed peacefully on Saturday afternoon, Oct. 17, 2009 at the Golden Living Center in Attleboro. She was the beloved wife of the late James Clarke.

Born Theresa Margaret McGuire in Fall River on May 30, 1912, "Clarke" was the daughter of the late Bernard and Elizabeth (Grogan) McGuire. She was raised and educated in the Swansea area.

Clarke was employed at the former Brennan Drug Store in North Attleboro and the former Ashley Drug Store in Attleboro. Theresa was also employed as a sales representative for a number of years at the former Milady's in downtown Attleboro.

A lady of style, Clarke enjoyed music and singing in groups. She enjoyed the company of people and people loved her.

Clarke is survived by her devoted caregiver and friend, Christine McAndrews and her family of Attleboro; a nephew, Francis McGuire; and many friends. She was the sister of the late Francis McGuire, Katherine Sprigg and Elizabeth McGuire; and aunt of the late Elizabeth "Beth" T. Robey of Attleboro.

Family and friends are kindly invited to attend a funeral service on Saturday, Oct. 24, 2009 at 10 a.m. in the Duffy-Poule Funeral Home, 20 Peck St., Attleboro.

Following a private cremation service, Theresa will be laid to rest with her beloved family in St. Patrick's Cemetery, Robeson Avenue, Fall River. Flowers are welcome.

Donald Ralph Clegg Sr., 72

Retired Quality Assurance Engineer

PAWTUCKET
- Donald Ralph Clegg Sr., 72, of Colder Street, Pawtucket, Rhode Island died on Monday, Oct. 19, 2009 at the St. Antoine Residence in North Smithfield, Rhode Island, where he had been a resident since February. He was the husband of Betty Ann (Burek) Clegg, to whom he was married on April 28, 1957.

Born in Attleboro, Massachusetts on Nov. 19, 1936, he was a son of the late Ralph and Florence (Matros) Clegg. He was raised and educated in his native community of Attleboro.

He resided in the City of Attleboro for 55 years prior to moving to Florida, where he resided for ten years in Ft. Myers and Marco Island. Four years ago, he returned to New England and settled in Pawtucket, Rhode Island.

Mr. Clegg was a veteran of the United States Air Force, having achieved the rank of staff sergeant. He enlisted on Jan. 18, 1955 and served honorably until his discharge on April 17, 1959 and then fulfilled his Reserve obligation until Jan. 17, 1963.

He was employed as a quality assurance engineer for Northrop for 35 years prior to his retirement in 1994.

Mr. Clegg attended St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church in Attleboro.

He was a member of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks Lodge 1014 in Attleboro and was a member of the Northrop baseball league.

In earlier years, he served as a football and baseball coach for the Attleboro Parent League.

While residing in Florida, Mr. Clegg was a member of the Marco Island Fishing Club.

In addition to his wife of 52 years, he leaves three children: Donald R. Clegg Jr. and his wife, Jacquelyn (Fuvich) Clegg, of Cumberland, Rhode Island; Sharon L. Hanewich and her husband, Mark Hanewich, of Bradenton, Florida and Carolyn J. Woodruff and her husband, Lloyd Woodruff, of Attleboro; eight grandchildren: Katelynn Hanewich, Ashley Hanewich, Matthew Hanewich, Corey Hanewich and Brett Hanewich, all of Bradenton, Florida; Lindsey Clegg and Sidney Clegg, both of Cumberland, Rhode Island and Nicholas Woodruff of Attleboro; a sister, Linda Craft of Jacksonville, Florida and several extended family members and friends.

He was the brother of the late Robert Clegg.

Visitation has been respectfully omitted.

Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend a memorial service in honor and celebration of his life with veteran's honors on Friday, Oct. 23, 2009 at noon in the Memorial Chapel of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home, the national historic Colonel Obed Robinson House, 161 Commonwealth Ave. (exit 5 off I-95 N or S, go right at end of ramp, 3/4 mile on left), Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro with the Rev. Victor Chaupetta, M.S., of the National Shrine of Our Lady of LaSalette, Attleboro, officiating.

Inurnment with full military honors in the Rhode Island Veterans Memorial Cemetery Columbarium, Exeter, Rhode Island will be conducted privately.

A children's room will be available during the memorial service.

Following services, an invitation will be extended to join the family for a time of continued fellowship and refreshment at a location to be announced.

Please omit flowers. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Mr. Clegg's name to the Dyer-Lake Charitable Foundation Inc., a registered 501 (c) 3 organization, 161 Commonwealth Ave., North Attleboro, MA 02760 to benefit the Alzheimer's Association.

Theresa Glavin-Ford, 82

WRENTHAM
- Theresa Glavin-Ford of Wrentham passed away Monday, Oct. 19, 2009 at the Serenity Hill Nursing Center in Wrentham. She was 82.

Born in Boston, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Isabella (McLachlan) DiBella, and was educated in the Boston schools.

Formerly of Allston and Dorchester, Theresa worked more than 25 years at The Davis Store in Wrentham, retiring in 1987.

She was very active in St. Mary's Church in Wrentham.

Formerly an avid bowler, she had a great love of animals, old movies, Broadway shows, ballroom dancing and singing. She was also known as an excellent cook, and loved spending time with her family and friends.

She was the wife of the late John E. Glavin and Joseph Ford, and was the loving mother of Diane Glavin Caughill and her husband Mark, of Cambridge, and Karen M. Glavin and her husband William Henderson, of Cumberland, RI.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, Oct. 23, 2009 at 9 a.m. at St. Mary's Church, 140 South St., Wrentham.

Visiting hours at the R. J. Ross Funeral Home, 135 South St., Wrentham, will be on Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m. Burial will be in Center Cemetery, Wrentham.
