John Nimiroski, 67

ATTLEBORO
- John Timothy Nimiroski, 67, passed away Thursday, Oct. 22, 2009. He was the beloved husband of Gail M. (Grant) Nimiroski for 43 years.

A lifelong resident of Attleboro, he was a son of the late John and Alice (Potter) Nimiroski.

John was employed by the Attleboro School Department for 15 years until retiring, and was most recently a driver for Enterprise. He was a member of the Elks Lodge No. 1014, Attleboro.

Besides his wife he leaves a daughter, Tara Ann Nimiroski; a son, Mark Timothy Nimiroski and his wife Janet M. of Tiverton, RI and three grandchildren, Alexander, Sabrina and Lilly Nimiroski.

He was the brother of the late Cpl. Joseph Nimiroski, the first casualty from Attleboro during Vietnam.

Services will be held Sunday at noon at the William W. Tripp Funeral Home, 1008 Newport Ave., Pawtucket.

Visitation will be held on Saturday from 4 to 7 p.m.

Robert Seguin Jr., 60

NORTH ATTLEBORO - Robert Arnauld Seguin Jr., 60, died peacefully on Wednesday, Oct. 21, 2009, at his home on Diamond Street in North Attleboro surrounded by the comfort of his loving family.

Born in Attleboro on June 27, 1949, he was the son of the late Robert A. Seguin Sr. and Vivian H. (Okeson) Seguin. Bob was raised in North Attleboro and graduated in 1967 from Bishop Feehan High School. After high school, he attended Roger Williams University in Bristol, RI. In 1976, Bob opened the "Printin Press" in North Attleboro and operated the business for many years.

He served his country as a member of the National Guard from 1971 to 1978.

Bob is survived by a son, Daniel Seguin and his wife Katia of Mooresville, North Carolina; and a daughter, Gretchen Seguin of North Attleboro. He is also survived by two grandchildren, Joshua and Niklas Seguin of North Carolina; a sister, Karen Ripley and her husband Walter; two nieces, Tayla and Heather; and a great nephew, Leo Larocque.

Bob was a friend of the late M. Jacqueline (Proulx) Seguin.

A funeral will be held on Monday, Oct. 26, 2009 at 9:30 a.m. from the John J. Diamond Funeral Home, 180 North Washington St., North Attleboro followed by a funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m. in St. Mark's Church, 105 Stanley St., Attleboro Falls. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Attleboro Falls.

Visiting hours will be held in the funeral home on Sunday from 5 to 8 p.m.

Edward 'Ted' Martin, 85

ATTLEBORO - Edward "Ted" Francis Martin, 85, of Thacher Street, Attleboro, a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather passed unexpectedly on Tuesday, Oct. 20, 2009 at Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro. He was the beloved husband of 63 years to Frances J. (McGrath) Martin.

Born on Feb. 21, 1924 in Lewiston, Maine, Ted was a son of the late Louis G. and Irene (Manning) Martin. He was raised and educated in Providence and attended LaSalle Academy.

Ted honorably served in the U.S. Army during World War II and the Korean Conflict.

Ted was employed for over 20 years at the former Allendale Insurance Company, currently FM Global, in Johnston, RI until retiring.

Years ago, Ted was a volunteer firefighter for the Seekonk Fire Department and was active in Boy Scouts, Troop 3 in Seekonk. He was a Little League baseball coach, an avid bowler and a member of the VFW Gilbert-Perry Post 115 in Attleboro.

Ted also enjoyed playing cards, cribbage and square dancing.

A former 17-year resident of Seekonk, Ted resided in Attleboro over the past 30 years. Edward passed the gift of life by being an organ donor upon his passing.

In addition to his beloved wife, Frances, Ted is survived by three sons, Daniel E. Martin of Pflugerville, TX, Neil B. Martin and his wife Deborah of Chepachet, RI and Kenneth A. Martin and his wife Marianne of Punta Gorda, FL; a daughter, Jacqueline M. Fisher and her husband Robert of Finleyville, PA; seven grandchildren: Amy Martin, Jessica Martin, Kelly Martin, Michael Fisher, Christopher Fisher, Alison Martin and Katherine Martin; three great-grandchildren, Jacob and Joshua Normandin and Aidan Blankenship; and several nieces and nephews.

He was the beloved brother of the late Joseph Martin, John Martin and Mary Carlson.

Family and friends are kindly invited to attend visiting hours on Sunday, Oct. 25, 2009 from 4 to 8 p.m. in the Duffy-Poule Funeral Home, 20 Peck St., Attleboro.

A funeral will be conducted on Monday, Oct. 26, 2009 at 9 a.m. from the Duffy-Poule Funeral Home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. John the Evangelist Church, 133 North Main St., Attleboro celebrated by the Rev. Richard Roy, pastor. Mr. Martin will be laid to rest with full military honors recognizing his honorable service in the U.S. Army during World War II and the Korean Conflict in St. Anne's Cemetery, Cranston.

John W. LaValley Jr., 83

ATTLEBORO - John W. LaValley Jr., 83, of Holman Street, Attleboro died Wednesday at home.

He was the husband of Priscilla (LaVallee) LaValley.

He was born in New Bedford, a son of the late John W. and Mary (Maxim) LaValley Sr.

John was a form roller for Englehart Industries for over 30 years before retiring 18 years ago.

He was a lifelong Attleboro resident, a former member of the Second Congregational Church, he was a member of the Moose Club, enjoyed camping, was a "Mr. Fix it" handyman, he also loved roses.

Besides his wife, he is survived by two sons, John W. LaValley III of Pawtucket, RI, and Alfred LaValley of Rumford, RI; a stepson, James Ramaglia of Attleboro; a daughter, Darlene LaValley of Redfield, Maine; three brothers, Frank LaValley of Maine, Robert LaValley of Norton and Thomas Dumaine of North Attleboro; a sister, Shirley Lobering of Arizona, 11 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

He was the father of the late Ann Walsh, and he was the brother of the late Neil LaValley.

His funeral service will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. in the Foley-Hathaway Funeral Home, 126 South Main St., Attleboro, Massachusetts. Burial will follow in Newell Burying Ground, Attleboro. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
